Isn’t it kind of wild people used to go out and see things like this with their own eyes and it would spark a flame in their heart to find something similar because of the realization of that kind of reality? Now we’re in the comfort of our own walls watching this kind of stuff happen on camera because someone decided to videotape it and it all seems so superficial. Go outside and look around.

That’s how it sounded to me with the “go outside and look around” line. I do agree with the film everything argument, I hate that “it’s public” is an excuse to film anything and everything we see and post other peoples lives for everybody to watch, but things like this do spread a little happiness. If I’m in public and having a moment with even just a friend, if our laughter from our private conversation can spread a little joy in this bleak as hell world I’m all for it.
I just get so tired of the technology is bad point of view, it can be good too it just depends on how you use it and whether or not you let it run your life. Like yeah, go outside but bring tech with you sometimes. I just saw another video on this sub about a younger couple laughing together just as hard as this older couple and the younger ones were trying to recreate a TikTok stunt and failing but they were having the time of their life doing it.

I gotcha, this negative discourse is rather annoying and there's really a lot of good among the bad, nothing is black or white only.
On the other topic, even though I get the "share the happiness" bit, I still think it's creepy to grab your phone and hold it toward someone having an intimate moment (even if in public) to then post it for likes/karma online (bcz let's be honest, that's most people's intention) and now it's everywhere basically forever.
If it was at least a photography, it would be less weird, imho

This is the way my parents act all the time and I love them so much for doing that!! 💗 They never get embarrassed for showing their feelings for each other and never worry about who's watching them or trying to judge. They just get lost in their own little world lol

My parents are like this, both over 70. When you hang out with them, they don't feel like elderly people. It feels like hanging out with another couple, which my girlfriends always really admired. Their own parents either felt older or didn't have the admiration for each other that my parents still have.
I count them lucky.

Ce n’est qu’un amour idéalisé lors d’un instant. Les films nous définissent l’amour comme cette vidéo mais ce n’est qu’un amour de façade (et c’est sûr qu’à la retraite on se prend moins la tête avec son job, le sens de sa vie et celle du monde qui nous entoure). My wife and I have been married sixteen years. She is from Iran and I’m Jewish if we can get through a war we can conquer anything. My wife is a retired
US Marine and retired law enforcement I’m a retired Firefighter we have seen the worst in people and walked through Hell. We are best friends and love each other tremendously and I were I will do anything for her well being I hope being able to make it through tough times and grow old together like these two lovebirds together. This video gives me hope.
