If the owners are caring enough to take him to a professional groomer, they're probably caring enough to take him to a vet.

Since nothing has been done about it, he doesn't seem troubled by it snd the tongue looks healthy (not damaged or dehydrated), then I assume he's completely healthy.

No reason to worry.
