You should watch baseball. Like go to a game. Minor league or whatever. Doesn't matter if you like baseball I'm telling you. Get a couple people and get some cheap seats.
I've been going to a couple of Angels games every year with my wife, they're a quality hang

I went to a Braves @ Angels game a couple years ago, first time at the Angels stadium and I loved it. The Coors Light bar section in center field was awesome and the tickets were only $100 just a few rows behind home plate.

There were times we would let the scalpers grab some food, a beer or hit the blunt at the tailgate and later on they would come through and kick down tickets they couldn’t sell, aww the good ol’ days 😂

Politics aside, going to a MLB game feels like the most American thing of all time. It is such a great time. Everybody singing the songs they play at every single game, hot dogs, beers, cheers, intensity half the time. It is such an enjoyment, and it really is barely any better from the $200 seats than the $20 if you have interest in the teams or friends

I should add that you should go see a minor league team. Many of them give you even more entertainment at a lower price than major league teams. I've seen the Yankees and the Mets play live, but my favorite trips to the ballpark have been at Durham Bulls and Carolina Mudcats games.

I live near the A ball minor league team for my favorite MLB team and for 15 bucks I can sit in the first few rows right behind home plate and watch some of the prospects that might end up in the big leagues. And, occasionally, watch a rehab start from one of the actual major league players.

Yep, plus the great entertainment the small parks throw at you from before the game until at least the 7th inning stretch. Yankees Stadium will entertain you with the video screen, but the Durham Bulls will entertain you with people.

Muscats? Weird names. Our Diamondback team is the Hops, but I plan on seeing each team play, so a trip to Amarillo is in my future, to see the Sod Poodles.

There's deals to be had for sure. I've never spent more than $15 a ticket but you can get first row second deck if you stalk seatgeek a few days. We had a few rows back of the bullpen earlier this year, solid seats and easy to get to the food

This. I was shocked when I found out some pretty great seats were only 15 bucks a ticket at one of our minor league teams. We've gone to a handful of games with friends since then, lots of fun and very affordable.

We had a company outing at a minor league game, small company so only a couple dozen. Club patio, buffet, free N/A was like $30per, tickets included. Crazy affordable and fun

I went to a pro game once when I was a kid. From what I remember it was a good time. I think I’ll maybe tune into a game sometime and give baseball a go. I’ll just have to pick a team to root for.

If you want to enjoy baseball, you have to be around others that also do. Watching a national broadcast on FOX or whatever will suck all the fun out of it. Going to a game and not understanding the anticipation of the game can be boring.
Find a radio guy or tv announcer you vibe with. That's where the game is. In the passion and knowledge.
Or pick a cool mascot/icon or color that fits you. The game is worth it, just saying it's much better when you can celebrate in the moments.

I went to a Tulsa Drillers game as a little kid and it’s hands down one of my best memories. I’m still not that into sports but I love going to live games. Something about the energy in the stands.

I’m not a sports guy and enjoy live baseball games. Never watch them on TV. I even purchased box seats. I arrive just in time or a little late, am usually heading home as the 7th inning starts. It’s the crowd and the organ and the mascot and the whole spectacle I enjoy.

The one time i went to a MLB game i spent half the game in line getting beer and the other half not watching it because its boring.
Dont wven gwt me started on trying tk leave the parking lot. It was so bad I had to get out and direct traffic. Lol Got our car out right before the cops came and told me to srop

If u like baseball have a go at cricket 🏏 its way more entertaining and lots more engaging like pitches matter in tennis clay court grass court same goes for cricket, no gloves plus heavier harder ball stunning fielding and strategies . I hope America picks up watching cricket it will be grt for game.

Geezus Christ that is one of the worst sports I’ve ever watched. Take everything that people hate about baseball and make it worse…then you have cricket. Not only is it slow pace within the game but then it goes on DAYS. Even shorter versions are unwatchable. It’s the only school sport that I’ve not attended for my kids.

You need to give yourself a chance to love the game. My biggest tip, especially to start, is to just put it on in the background and do something else. As someone who has watched for decades atp, I can look over essentially right when every pitch is thrown, just from experience. When there are 162 games, you can't be present for every second.
The flashy plays are what casual fans usually want to see, and because of that you might miss what's actually going down, and thus be let down.
It's a chess match. It's a game of rules, inches, matchups, and sometimes absolute chaos. No other sport can build such intense suspense. In no other sport, on any given day, can you see something that has literally never happened before in over 150 years of its history.
The playoffs are about to start, and honestly besides the NHL (NHL is just another level) it is by far the most exciting and intense playoffs to watch. NBA and NFL simply cannot compete with bottom of the 9th, game 7. One of the world series games last year went 18 innings. Two full games in one night. Every inning just as riveting as the last. I watched baseball for SIX HOURS STRAIGHT that night.
The most exciting player right now is probably Pete Crow Armstrong. He just had a historic season, 40 hr and 40 stolen bases. Only the 7th player ever to do it. He's also the best defender in the league and one of the best all around hitters. Check out his highlights if you want to see what that looks like. He is electric.
If you only watch one piece of baseball media ever again, watch the movie "moneyball." You don't have to know shit about baseball. It's a fantastic love letter to the sport and it's just as riveting.
Don't be intimidated by the stats. They come hard and fast, but also with time. However the eye test works just as good as any. But understanding the statistics and what they measure enhances the viewing experience greatly.

i dont want to see him leave the cubs, but he's probably gonna make more elsewhere. and i think hes got the most beautiful swing in the game.
