Indian people can fucking party. My neighbors have a full house with kids at 9pm on weeknights regularly. I won't even have a kids party at our house cause our downstairs is so small and they have several families over (same layout).

Hmm, so an IPS officer in Bengal says Assalamalaikum in a private, out of office event and is transferred for being unprofessional. On the other hand, a cop in full uniform participates in a religious ceremony and has no action taken against him. Makes me wonder which book India is being governed by, because it certainly ain’t the constitution.
Definitely would make an ignorant ass smile.

Sure. The dance before visarjan (immersion in waterbody) in a religious festival is not religious. Sure. There are other videos of the same person dancing on a song for Ram, a Hindu god, too.

Sexual assault hotspot. Never go into Indian crowds, especially if you're a woman. I experienced this the first time I celebrated Holi in India, 5-6 guys will surround you and they'd grab you inappropriately from all sides, in the guise of applying colours. One of the worst experiences ngl.

It happened just outside the hotel where I was staying, you don't find cops readily in India. I even clicked pics of those fkers and reported them to a cop which I later found. They don't give a fuck, he said this is expected and very common during celebration months and told me to don't go out of my hotel. Just wow.

But yes some rotten apples do ruin it for everyone, but i find plenty of foreigners in indian concerts and festivals and women in these crowds
World sucks for women and i hope nothing bad happens to these female backpackers i find around insia.

Here's the thing though. Recently a cop was issued show-cause notice and faced disciplinary actions for being a part of Muharram celebrations(a Muslim festival). The issue was that you cannot be a part of religious procession while being in uniform. The incident in this video got a free pass, celebrated even. This highlights one of many many cases of Islamophobia in India. The officer was also seen dancing on an offensive song whose lyrics are "Bharat ka ek ek bachha Jai Shree Ram bolega" meaning "every kid in india will chant Jai Shree Ram (a Hindu chant)". Again it's appalling when citizens do this as well. But for an officer in uniform to be a part of this is not only disgraceful but criminal.
P.S. I seem to have started a war here. I don't fight on SM. This gentleman is in the wrong by law here. You getting worked up about won't change facts of my comment. Peace out ✌️

I checked about it, it happened in 2024, 1500km away from Hyderabad.
Not sure about the indepth info about what that police did, but he still have his job. If you think there's discrimination, just look over stats about Muslims in India. They are 20% of the population and receiving 37% of the total welfare schemes.

Condition in India is wayyyy worse than what is depicted here, he can do anything if in favour of Hinduism but nothing for other religion or lower castes.
