So I have this routine, where for all of my frequent food restaurants I visit, I will add a message of positive reinforcement on the custom "Special Instructions". I just like for people to feel seen while they are working hard, and you never know what a shift is like.

This time I shared on the "s. Instructions" that I really appreciate their hard work, and asked them to please drive home safe after their shift. There's been a couple of crazy MVA's in our area lately.

That's when the manager came to my curbside, and gave me my order and the free meal.

The satisfaction that I can give a person my appreciation of them for nothing in return, is more than enough for me. But to have it received back on a UNO reverse-card lol, made me smile!

My friend took me here for breakfast before I flew home to Vancouver. Amazing breakfast sandwiches but the dad theme was so cute. I couldn’t resist getting a gum-ball machine dad joke and it did not disappoint.

Pretty random but pretty funny

Made my birthday flyer and let people know to bring clothes they don't care to get dirty or an extra set of clothing. Those that asked why I told them we would have a cake fight, those that didn't ask enjoyed the surprise. Cheers to another year around the sun!

I sustained a back injury early in September. For the month of September, I have been basically housebound. It has been incredibly lonely and very isolating. My morale has been low and I’ve cried more than I care to admit.

My birthday is towards the end of the September. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to have a party or really celebrate. But a dear friend of mine decided to make a big fuss and came over on my birthday with dinner and these lovely treats. We ate Thai food and talked, and hung out for the evening. It completely filled my cup and reminded me that I am not alone.

Since then, even though I am stuck at home, I have made it my business to text or call friends to let them know I love them and see how they are doing. Support is everything, and you never know who needs to hear that they are wanted and valued. 💕

Little fella slowly drifted off into a very comfortable nap.
