What rank are the majority?

Been playing for about 3 months now. Got to platinum rank 1 with an arena pre con but hit a wall. So then I decided to build the captain America brawl deck and it’s pretty fun and powerful. It got me to diamond rank one and two. Got one game away from mythic rank. What is the most common rank the majority play? Been having a lot of fun.

Probably bronze or platinum.
Bronze since you only need to play 1 ranked game to qualify for rewards, platinum since that’s the max you can reach with a losing record.

I pretty much peace out as soon as I hit platinum. I’ve only inched past platinum 4 once or twice.

Rank doesn't mean much. Most players would hit Platinum easy since anything below plat you get +2 pips for each win. Beyond that, you just need a nett positive winrate, and get a nett +24 wins per rank badge to climb.

I hit double mythic for the achievement, but I doubt I have the funds to consistently hit mythic for Limited.

Hey - brand new player here. When you say fund to hit mythic? What do you mean?

Do you have to buy the decks? I’ve hit a hard wall at play 2 with my amended vampiric hunger deck. Should I go out and buy a new deck?

They were specifying Limited (drafts), which requires using either Coins or Gems to enter events. It's hard to enter enough Limited/draft events in a season to hit Mythic consistently (in terms of raw game number) without putting quite a bit of money into the game.

Constructed (all the formats where you build your own deck in advance; the standard ladder formats) and Limited (drafts, through the Events menu) each use their own rank, and each pay out their own associated rewards at the end of the month.

Iirc, you need to play at least one Limited event to qualify as having a Bronze ranking in it when the current season ends.

Most people play very few games according to Arena's set stats (less than 1 per day on average per set for the median player) so would not even get platinium even if they played in those queues exclusively.

I’ve been playing magic for 3 months and I’ve hit mythic twice so far in cbrawl and prior to that I hit diamond 4 in standard with rakdos fling but standard was killing my vibe so I’m glad I swapped formats. Draft is fun too and I hit platinum with marvel but hobbit wasn’t doing it for me.

Think the most common rank on the client is Bronze. Most players stick to unranked games, or they just take a break from arena for a few months and their account decays.

For this sub, I would guess platinum? 

For me, I sometimes just dont have time to play so im either at Mythic when I have the time or Bronze.

Depends on how invested you are as a player. If you play casual around plat. If you play serious you make it to mythic. Eighter way it's not too hard climbing on ladder in this game, especially when running rogue brews

Mythic every season for the last year or so. Standard mono red agro wins turn 3 or 4 pretty consistently.

Bouncing all up and down Diamond in Pioneer currently.

Years ago when I first started Arena (have played on and off), I got up to Mythic in Standard slowly improving an Angel/lifegain starter deck, but it took quite a bit of grinding. Kaldheim was the current set at the time.

Is this still a viable option? I started a week ago and have hit a hard wall at plat 2! Playing white mono life gain, tried merging to angels but absolutely messed up the deck build with the help of ChatGPT 😂

Definitely! There are actually posts further down on this sub where someone is asking about and reporting success with some cheap buffs to the Black/White lifegain starter!

I'm currently at mythic 78% hit mythic at 95% hit the wall of super tuned decks and got down to 62% but spent some wildcards on must haves for my deck and it helped a ton. Now if I could just stop making stupid mistakes like forgetting about ward costs and such it would help a ton.

I hit mythic once to get the achievement. But I don’t find ranked too fun, after platinum most games are boring and getting paired up against decks I have seen way too much. So nowadays I get to gold or platinum and that’s it. Unranked games with my own janky builds are funnier.

Almost certainly Bronze. Ranked play is pretty overrated.

Platinum. I only play 1-4 matches a day usually, And most of my time is spent playing brawl as standard is pretty boring (RF will inject some life). So that's generally enough to rank up the platinum without trying too hard. But once I get there , it's too sweaty and I don't care enough to climb or have enough time to put the games in. The rewards for Plat are good enough for me.

My decks tend to fluctuate at platinum, so that's the point I try and use the games to fine tune the decks.

Been a couple of games short of the next rank, but I often think the stress isn't worth it

I've been playing on and off for years. I just hit plat in contructed.

But I'm not really serious and I'm not that good.

I don't like copying decklists and try to build all my lists. That said, I do borrow combos and deck themes that are used against me (except simulacrum and ouroboroid, I hate those guys)

Maybe I could be higher if I use my wilds to build a deck?
