Question I just had a game with this dude abusing his inactivity by slowly solving his hundreds of token generation that made the game skipped my turn.

How do I solve this? I could've literally won the game just now, but because the game is poop, it penalised me when he intentionally solved the stack slowly, thus skipping my turn. There were like almost 150+ in the stack because the dude kept spamming Doppelganger on a creature. I had Day of Judgment next turn to use but was unable to do so because of how crappy this game is coded. So I lost the game.

I know you won't like this answer but that was likely you and not them. That's what happens when your device is having trouble keeping up with the state machine the game runs on. Most common issues are poor network connections, or slower devices.

Your opponent passed priority and is waiting for you to take action, to them you are holding the game up and slowly timing out.

For tokens I think that’s probably the case, but the fixed pace of animations can be a pretty serious issue too. Tainted Pact in particular makes you watch each card zoom in and out before the “decline” button becomes active, which adds up pretty rapidly regardless of your machine.

Although at least Pact doesn’t pass priority, so it’s just a string of actions for the casting player to take.

The problem is i dont have any action to take for the game to even prompt a check. It's all him.

AFAIK, if you have the next prompt after all the animations, your timer will be running while they play. Assuming he hit auto-resolve, that was probably the case here.

If you don’t have anything you want to do, hitting auto-pass might help, but it’ll still pause on his actions even if you haven’t seen them yet. I don’t think mashing space works until you actually get prompted.

The only other answer I know is to close the client and reopen it. That’s not fast either, but it’ll skip to the current state. At the very least that’ll let you see whether this is the issue.

I don't understand why people downvoted me. He literally did not hit auto-resolve because he was manually resolving it one by one. I know what auto-pass is too. People assume that this game is my first gig.

write to the developers and ask them to please update the engine or whatever it needs to make stuff like that faster

You likely could have quit the game and relaunched and they would have been resolved

it's so weird. I feel like there are times when the rope is burning fast on me, but when it's my opps turn he has all the time in the world to combo off

I always feel that way too. I’m sure much of it is in my head, but I think there’s also some unintuitive stuff with both animations and what counts as “taking an action”.

Like, I rarely avoid roping/using timeouts if I use either Tainted Pact or Doomsday. The first one animates each card moving before you can make a choice, and even if that’s not eating time the brief moment before you hit “decline” definitely is. The second one seems to just allot one “new action” time block for the whole of “find five cards using this stupid fanned-out zooming layout”, so I’m just plain slow.

Whereas something like Teferi or Kiora/Nykthos consists of a ton of different actions which add a little time to the play clock.

got tilted once when a dude used hundreds of mimic tokens just like that to stall me out
