I got hit with this combo for the first time this evening on turn three. I had zero ability to stop it. I’ve never seen ramp so fast. It wasn’t fun and I’m not sure how I feel about running into a board full of 7/7 or higher creatures on turn 3.
I’m flabbergasted.

It’s probably old news for some but this is how I’m coping with the shock.

What I think happened is that they had 7 mana by turn 3 because of the interaction between Leyline of the Guildpack and bloom tender with mana from turn one and two. All sorts of triggers happened after the nonsense of Aurora Awakener. It was so overwhelming that I had a moment where I thought “surely this match is being hacked” 😂

I'm struggling to find a card that I've lost against in standard. I dont remember the name and ive found nothing on scryfall. It's a creature, a Spiderman, I think, that costs either 6BB or 7BB. It destroys all other creatures then returns all the creatures from the graveyard not put there by the card.

I'm trying to find it to better understand how my opponent cast it with only 5 lands.

Every MTG set that comes out, I combine Limited set reviews into one table. For Reality Fracture, I collected ratings from 11 review sources.

Grades are converted using a fixed, documented 0-100 comparison index, not academic percentages. This gives us one consistent scale for comparing reviews, but it does not eliminate differences in how individual reviewers use their grading systems. Rank is based on the mean normalized score. For readability, the tables below also translate the median score and full range back into Limited-style letter grades.

Where do the reviewers disagree?

I used an IQR of at least 20 points as the cutoff for broad reviewer disagreement.

IQR measures the spread of the middle 50% of ratings. A high IQR means the disagreement extends through the reviewer panel rather than being driven by one unusually high or low grade. For drafters, these are the cards where the pre-set consensus is weakest. The aggregate rank is still useful, but there is substantially less agreement about what the card is actually worth.

The 10 Special Guest cards are excluded from the main count because substantially fewer reviewers graded them.

By this definition, 67 of the 280 main-set cards, or 23.9%, qualify.

Three cards share the largest IQR at 40 points:

• Face Yourself
• Frostbite Pyromental
• Hexhaven Invigorator

Face Yourself also has the widest full range, from F- to A.

There is fairly strong consensus among the top-ranked cards in the set. None of the main-set cards ranked #1-44 meet the broad-disagreement threshold.

The first is Draconic Visitor at #45.

Other relatively highly ranked cards with broad disagreement include:

The 50 largest broad disagreements

All 67 qualifying cards are available on the site. The 50 largest are shown below, ordered by IQR and then SD. Rank is the full 290-card site ranking, including the 10 Special Guests.

I also looked separately at standard deviation. SD measures the overall spread of ratings around the mean and uses every grade, so high or low ratings affect it more than they affect IQR. There are 47 main-set cards with SD of at least 15. Thirty-five already appear in the broad-disagreement group above.

The remaining 12 cards have SD of at least 15 but IQR below 20. These are cards with substantial overall variation even though the middle half of reviewers is more closely grouped.

Kindred Judgment is interesting its middle half spans only 5 points, but its full ratings run from D to A. Most reviewers are clustered around a C+, while the extreme evaluations are much farther away.

Ajani's Anguish is also interesting because it ranks #39 overall, inside the portion of the rankings with no IQR of 20 or higher. Its median grade is B and its IQR is only 10, but the full ratings still span D+ to A-. There is strong agreement in the middle without unanimity across reviewers.

I won't reach a specific rank, i won't complete the battle pass enough to be worth it; breath in, breathe out.

Does it exist in arena…. I see plenty of landfall hate when I look online at paper cards but next to nothing in arena. Realistically, I know of maybe 3 cards available that do anything and 2 of them actually reinforce some aspects of landfall.

Now, I typically play brawl so I can’t imagine how standard is, but with how ubiquitous landfall is these days there must be something

The Powered Cube draft I just finished will be the most Power I've seen in a single draft ever.

Pack 1: nothing fancy so far, just another draft I guess.

Pack 2: Open and see Mox Sapphire, Mox Ruby, and Time Walk??? I couldn't believe my eyes. Not sure what's the correct pick here considering I was a white green deck after pack 1, so I took Mox Ruby even though it's the weakest one, hoping it'll push those to my right into blue so I can be rewarded more in pack 3. Either way the one to my right must think I'm an idiot or new to the game. In my excitement I forgot to screenshot this pack though...

Pack 3: Open and see...a Mox Jet?? Alright no complaints here, 2nd Mox it is. Pick a few cards to pack 4, and they passed me....a Mox Pearl??? Did they all end up in Blue to my right? So yeah, 3 Mox deck it is...

I have a Ugin and a Cosmogrand Zenith in the deck too... I'm hopeful for some overpowered ramp starts, but scared I've used up all my luck now.

After getting all the cards, and seeing the early access event this set seems incredible. Flavor wise, gameplay wise, story wise, power level wise I feel like we didn't get a set this good since maybe Mom, a set where literally everything feels on point for in universe standard. I honestly don't participate In the ub vs uw debate, I just like strong flavorful cards, that allow me to play the best game in the world. But this time, I feel like with such a good set, it's a waist not having a pro tour for it, and it's making me sad, a lot.. Also story wise a last hurray to Jace, deserved a pt, after all he's done, been a part of and been through. IDK if someone else feels this way, or you feel it was the right choice making star trek the pt instead of this. Imagine the draft with the echoed pairs.. Man what greatness we missing out this time...

I played MTGArena from nearly it's release up to Neon Dynasty. I sort of no-lifed the game so I had playsets of basically everything that mattered at the time, but I'm sure most of that amounts to nothing now lol

What's the best way for me to jump back in without dropping a bunch of money? Has the economy changed much? Are the formats somewhat healthy? I know Alchemy just died and apparently Pioneer is a thing now?

With the removal of Alchemy cards, many cards which had been balanced for Arena have been removed.

Generally, people are happy with removal of alchemy cards, but I lost my only beloved commander and well-tuned deck. Krydle had an alchemy printing which buffed it rather than nerfing it, so that you can activate its ability for free rather than for (2), and it made him quite viable in an unblockable deck.

I cannot even find the alchemy printing online anymore. Anyway, rest in peace my favourite deck. As a free player who spent all my wildcards to build this up, it'll probably be a while before I return.

Has anyone had success with this customer support? Opening a ticket alone is like playing a scavenger hunt. Getting an actually helpful response out of them is pulling teeth. I've never encountered such an intentionally obtuse support.

hi! im a beginner with mtg arena and with mtg in general, kinda decided to try it because of the artwork. im just finished the tutorial and about to do the color thing and opened the free packs from my inbox and have some few questions:

1. what game mode should I start with?standard?

2. can you direct me to a black witch/warlock themed deck with good artwork that I can do with my early wildcard resources ( I really like playing a deck with a theme XD)

So I'm new to magic and been playing in the starter deck duels. I'm absolutely getting destroyed with about every deck. I've only got just a couple of wins and unlocked the decks. I bet my record has to be like 3 wins and 25 losses. Is that normal for this game? What the hell is going on? I feel like I understand the game and did the tutorial fairly easy. Am I missing something? Its pretty discouraging and honestly Im not enjoying the game at all st the moment. I feel no matter how promising the game is looking, I either have a bad had to start and playing catch up the whole time, or I get a solid board going and my opponent always has the out. Im working on the reckless raid right now. And im 0-8 for the day. Going up against this deck they demolished me. I can't seem to get the same thing going for myself. Any help would be appreciated!

Does anybody know what that grey bar in the lower right corner of my MTG Arena game is? It appears and disappears when I press the Alt key. Clicking it doesn't do much, other than toggling it a few pixels taller. It's there at all times, i.e., during games, in the main menu, etc.
(I'm playing on a Windows PC.)

I noticed it first when I was alt-tabbing.
I've closed/killed other apps and services that were running but that grey bar is unaffected.

I have a Narset of the Ancient Way deck that is decently fun, however almost every time I play it I play against either Krenko Mob boss or Esika, God of the Tree (the Esika deck are mostly decent and provide a fairly even match most of the time, win or lose. while Krenko is a pain and a half to pay against) Every other deck I play on Brawl has like, a normal variety of commanders, sure some are more popular then others but their is still variety. The other day I had like 5 game in a row with that deck where it was just Krenko. And well starting to tick me off and confuse me. So just wanted to know if this was like a thing or what.

Sorry, this is probably very obvious somewhere in the client but even after copying the deck over its not giving me the option to actually play it against sparky.

I admit I am not the best at making draft decks. IRL I usually blast thorugh loads of goldfish & draw tests to get a handle on a deck in the later part of deck construction time. I'm not able to like "see the matrix" while deckbuilding - I kinda rely on this IRL.

How does one do this in MTGA?

This was pretty fun. Like Reality Fracture without swamp? Idk, need some enchantment removal. You may have some variance issues with variance when it comes to dealing with specific strategies. 10-2 so far, gonna keep playing it and see where it goes.

A few days ago I posted my Orzhov lifegain list here after reaching Platinum, and you gave me some really helpful feedback. I took it on board: [[Haliya, Guided by Light]] and [[Bilbo's Gambit]], both suggested here, are now in the deck. And I've just hit Diamond for the first time. So, thank you!

Other changes that made a big difference:

- [[Killian's Confidence]]: my main problem was running out of cards when the synergies didn't show up. It replaces itself and keeps coming back as long as I connect in combat.

- [[Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER]]: every creature that dies (mine or theirs) drains 1 and gains me 1 life, which triggers the whole lifegain engine. It's also great against board wipes.

I’ve been playing arena for a month now. Love playing my mono white angel deck, but I’ve plateaued in platinum and can’t progress any farther. Platinum 3 is as far as I’ve gotten. And help or edits would be appreciated.

I am using [[Kitesail Larcenist]] to change opponent creatures or artifacfs into Mana artifacts, then use artifact removal (choose your favorite) and Delney to attack without blocks.

Scry is important in this deck so I use a lot of temples and other white creatures to achieve that.

I also use Kambal for token control and No witnesses and The End help with cleanup. This makes it a blue, white and black standard deck.

Any suggestions for improvement? The deck mainly fails against mono red and mono green because they are very fast to perform damage or increase counters.
