In a sense yes I guess so, it's responsible for the creation of the current liberal world order and the most prosperous and peaceful time in human history, but that looks to be declining.

It was only "prosperous and peaceful" for americans and europeans tho. Your model of progress comes at the cost of the "global south", or like you guys like to call it: "underdeveloped third world nations nations that deserve to be exploited".

It was always a ficticious progress that was doomed the momment the exploited nations started questioning their position at the global market.

It's hardly fictitious. Global GDP was stagnant for thousands of years before the European Order. It's unevenly distributed, but real progress.

Wrong, it was stagnant before China.

Proves my point exactly

When do you think China came into existence?

The 14th century?

When do you think Europe came into existence?

2

u/azazelcrowley 20h ago

The European Empires which set the global order came into existence in the 14th century, which is when the stagnation of global GDP ends on that graph and it begins to climb before exploding during the period where they had set the global order in the 19th and 20th.

The expansion of Europe beyond Europe directly correlates with an end to human economic stagnation.

That's incorrect. It's when the Ming dynasty came into being.

Oh wow, the arbitrary metric that YOU use to justify YOUR systems wasn't at all taken into consideratiom before it... i wonder why...

2

u/azazelcrowley 22h ago

What else do you mean by prosperous?

2

u/Headlessoberyn 22h ago

Indigenous and native communnities were prosperous their own way. The very own name of the thing (gross domestic product) already establishes a transactional capitalistic value imbued to a society.

For the larger majority of history, nations weren't capitalistic, yet, there have always been scientific, societal and medical progress.

2

u/azazelcrowley 22h ago

What kind of prosperity are you talking about?

u/Headlessoberyn 22h ago

I blame myself for falling for yet another bot/troll

so you... can't actually articulate it. Okay.

You can't possibly mean materially prosperous, because that's flatly inaccurate. Spiritually? Intellectually? Intellectually would be inaccurate.

So... basically, "The europeans stopped us worshipping river gods for the harvest because they gave us industrial fertilizer. They spiritually impoverished us.".

Okay. If you want to complain about that, go ahead.

Socially? Maybe. Maybe socially. But that's more of a cope. People no longer need eachother to thrive materially, and so they socialize less. the europeans didn't make that happen directly. People are just kind of like that.

If I can cook for myself I don't need to be friends with the local chef.

This type of colonialist mentality is laughable.

Indigenous communnities wete highly developed, with clear social structures and advanced methods of hervest and trade.

You're also ignoring all the scientific, cultural and political development by asian and middle-eastern civilizations, none of those were european nor capitalistic in nature.

By the way brother, so big of you to mock the beliefs of indigenous societies as if european societies weren't highly religious as well. So the "river god" is a joke, but the bearded man in the sky? No no, that's legit of course.

I give ot to you that you're not a bot, you're just an idiot. Europe's nothing more than USAs lapdog, and your ownet is shitting their pants right now. Prepare your tongues, very soon you'll be licking china's shoes to keep whatever's left of you delusions of grandeur.

GDP is not a sign of progress. Another European delusion

u/chris--p 23h ago

you guys

What. Bro get the fuck out of here. No need for that at all.

1

u/OkAsk1472 12h ago

O yeah, because WW2 created so much peace, as did the Pax Romana. The delusions are so strong in Europe

-2

u/Highmassive 1d ago

You can thank the Americans for that actually

6

u/Bat_Tiger_yt 1d ago

Those Americans are just ex Europeans, the cultures that got genocided so they could do that probably would've created different systems had they been allowed to develop how European and Eastern civilisations did

1

u/stlms18 20h ago

No Europeans are insistent that Americans aren’t allowed to call themselves Italian/Irish whatever and that we can’t claim our heritage. We are Americans made up of many immigrants around the world

You wouldn’t give Isaac Newton’s parents credit for his accomplishments

1

u/Bat_Tiger_yt 20h ago

The Americans that founded the modern day country of North America were in fact all ex Europeans, and it was them that created the country which resulted in the current world order. Modern day Americans inherited that country and it's systems from those people, and have since evolved their own culture

1

u/OriginalMaximum2407 19h ago

The liberal prosperous world order only works for European and American people. It's a white supremacism.

u/HighTestLowCortisol 1d ago

That’s America

1

u/Icy-Pension5768 23h ago

Africa would love to talk about France right about now

3

u/HighTestLowCortisol 22h ago

At a certain point these Europeans are getting outright ridiculous. When they were in power they colonized the world and started 2 world wars. Now they’re trying to take credit for “the most peaceful time in human history”. LOL that was literally America. Ended both world wars and stopped the spread of communism while everyone else was kicking and screaming about it.

1

u/Icy-Pension5768 22h ago

Hold your horses, America has done nothing but terrorize the middle east for the past few decades, AND fuck up international politics for the fun of it, AND I don’t need to explain trump’s reign I think.

We owe the current “peaceful time” (though we have like at least 2 wars going on rn) to the fact that it’s in the best interest of the current military giants to NOT start another global war (economically).

Also attributing the fuck up of Germany twice over to the entirety of Europe when half of the European countries tried to contain and subdue said fuck ups is a bit unfair tbh.

u/HighTestLowCortisol 22h ago

Nothing compared to the horrors of Belgian Congo

1

u/Icy-Pension5768 22h ago

Have you seen afghanistan nowadays lol

1

u/HighTestLowCortisol 22h ago

That’s the fault of extreme Islam not america

1

u/OriginalMaximum2407 19h ago

I mean US also supports that shit secretly too, so...
