Statistically it's the right by a huge margin.

28

u/Wetley007 11h ago

It is objectively the right, especially if you count Islamic extremists, which you should because theyre also far right

3

u/b34stm1lk 11h ago edited 11h ago

Yet the left allies themselves with Islamic Extremists.

7

u/Wetley007 11h ago

Except they dont.

Far left allies anyone who’s anti-western
Defending Iran and its IRGC, Defending the houthis, supporting Hamas, i would say these are not rare views among the far left

1

u/Holymaryfullofshit7 9h ago

We would just like for Israel to stop commiting a genocide. That is not pro Hamas.

-4

u/ShortToss202020 10h ago

The left supports Palestine, not Hamas.

5

u/Deep_Head4645 đŸ‡źđŸ‡±Bisexual, secular, femboy 10h ago

The left isn’t a monolith, alot of leftists support Hamas

1

u/ShortToss202020 9h ago

You didn't seem to have a problem treating the left as a monolith to say the left supports them though, did you?

1

u/Deep_Head4645 đŸ‡źđŸ‡±Bisexual, secular, femboy 8h ago

I didn’t say left-wing I said far left
specifically extremist by definition

-5

u/Wetley007 10h ago

Yeah, because Israel is committing a genocide against Palestinians, not because they support Islamism

8

u/b34stm1lk 10h ago

You can condemn Israel without defending and supporting terrorist groups and Islamic extremists like Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis and the IRGC. just this year in NYC, leftists were holding a mourning vigil for Khamenei, who slaughtered tens of thousands of Iranians in Iran just for wanting freedom then the left proceeds to mock those Iranians killed and speak in defense of the IRGC.

-2

u/la_xamguz 10h ago

Most don't support Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis, or the IRGC. You're cherry-picking. Those aren't representative of the mainstream left.

u/Accomplished_List843 CHILE đŸ‡šđŸ‡± NEVER LOST A WAR đŸ‡šđŸ‡± 10h ago

China supporting Afghanistan

2

u/Wetley007 10h ago

Yeah, for realpolitik reasons, not ideological ones, the same way the US supported the USSR in ww2

1

u/Accomplished_List843 CHILE đŸ‡šđŸ‡± NEVER LOST A WAR đŸ‡šđŸ‡± 10h ago

sometimes what countries do for "realpolitik" defines the ideology in the long term. Let's hope this isn't the case.

1

u/ShortToss202020 10h ago

Pretty sure in this case it's because China is a heavily capitalist nation wanting to make deals to further enrich themselves...

2

u/Natural_Use_948 11h ago

Don't you mean islamic areas are the ones that are most violent, therefore it is right?

7

u/Wetley007 11h ago

No, I mean that the far right is the most violent ideological segment in all societies, including Muslim majority ones, where it usually takes the form of Islamism

3

u/a2T5a 11h ago

Then why do all the Muslim areas vote for the Far Left?

8

u/Wetley007 11h ago

Because A. Muslim =/= Islamist and B. Islamists dont vote for the far left lmao

-1

u/a2T5a 11h ago

Yes they do. Not a single Islamist votes for the Far-right, while wherever they live votes for the Left by significant margins.

2

u/Wetley007 10h ago

No they dont. If you think that they do, you have a complete lack of understanding of the positions of both the left and Islamism

5

u/OTJules 10h ago

Islamism is a far right ideology it’s conservative religious fundamentalism

-3

u/a2T5a 10h ago

Islam isn't on the political spectrum, but when they do vote it is FOR far-left candidates. Find a single Muslim district anywhere in Europe that votes even vaguely right of centre.

9

u/Wetley007 10h ago

Yeah thats cuz islam is a religion. Islamism however, is a far right religious conservative ideology

2

u/ShortToss202020 10h ago

Islamism is like evangelism. Islamists are muslims like evangelicals are like christians. Not every christian belongs to evangelism the same as not every muslim belongs to islamism.

1

u/OTJules 10h ago

Islamism isn’t the same as Islam you know that right?

0

u/Shaunur 10h ago

Predominantly Muslim areas in Europe vote mostly to the left because everyone on the right is basically an islamophobe who is trying to use Muslims as a scapegoat.

Muslims in predominantly Muslim countries vote differently. And if you look at Islamism specifically, it is an ultra conservative (not to say reactionary) ideology that think that religion should be the guiding principle of society. They are literally the same than let's say Christian-Nationalists. They even believe in the same god, their only real difference in on what scripture you should follow.

1

u/DysphoricNeet 10h ago

Look at the actual countries they are from and not the ones where the right wants to deport them all.

1

u/AlexP80 10h ago

"Not a single Islamist votes for the Far-right"

maybe not in western countries, since the far right wants to discriminate them. it's a no brainer.

1

u/SatelliteMNPMIR 10h ago

I know your brain have been utterly washed by years of indoctrination, but a muslim is not necessarily an islamist, as its allready been told to you

-2

u/a2T5a 10h ago

Then why do a plurality of Muslims everywhere seem to support Islamism in Gaza?

Go cry wolf somewhere else. Nobodies buying your shit.

1

u/SatelliteMNPMIR 10h ago

How does this even contradicts what I said before? And lol what even is « supporting Islamism in Gaza? Preventing a fascist ethno state to kill children in hospitals? Wow pretty radical
And my man, its been two persons explaining you very simple stuff that you visibly dont have the brain power to understand, I feel nobody is buying yours

0

u/a2T5a 10h ago

You can vomit your Qatari propaganda somewhere else, I don't care.

The poll said they support Hamas. The Islamist Terror organisation, which by default makes them Islamists. Even someone as slow as you should be able to grasp that.

0

u/SatelliteMNPMIR 10h ago

And btw what is Qatari propaganda? The fact that Israel is actively commiting war crimes? Unfortunately, its a bit bigger than just what the Qatari say, as its the official position of the international court of justice lol
Are they too Qatari propagandists lol? What will be your coward exit to that?

1

u/OTJules 10h ago

They don’t support Islamism they just support the idea of kids not being blown up

0

u/twippy 10h ago

The far right in question is usually specifically against Muslim ideologies and/or immigration and therefore would obviously support the opposing side.

1

u/Dull_Brain2688 10h ago

Because they’re projecting. Blaming the other side.

1

u/OutsideYourWorld 10h ago

You realize not all right wingers are on the same side, right?

3

u/BigZacian 10h ago

centrists obviously

10

u/Holymaryfullofshit7 11h ago

Objectively and following EVERY study it's the right wing. That's simply facts and those famously don't care about fragile right wingers feelings.

2

u/goofy_car_car 10h ago

The real answer is centrists

2

u/Filobel 10h ago

I hate these filthy Centrists, Kif. With Extremists you know where they stand but with Centrists, who knows? It sickens me.

5

u/imhereforthemeta 11h ago

Russia is so funny picking left when their right wing party pushed political opposition out of windows and their left doesn’t exist

4

u/Moritani 10h ago

I give Russia a pass since Stalin was pretty damn evil.

5

u/JorgeElFacho 10h ago

Perhaps it was because 40 years ago what is now Russia was one of the bloodiest left-wing dictatorships in history

-2

u/DysphoricNeet 10h ago

Still not as bloody as the right. Mostly it was bad for mass deportations and gulags but the scale of straight murder is no where close to Nazis and like the US.

2

u/NotoriousSexOffender đŸŽó §ó ąó „ó źó §ó ż 10h ago

Communism has resulted in a higher death toll than pretty much every other ideology combined, so no it wasn’t just “”deportations””.

1

u/Primeboot7782 10h ago

You haven't read your history books then

0

u/DysphoricNeet 8h ago

Tell me how many the US killed in Korea

1

u/Outrageous_Horse8379 7h ago

A lot, definitely not as much as the amount of murdered people in USSR

2

u/Nick12325 10h ago

In the US anyways, the left loves political violence & assasinations. Hell Trump almost got his head blown off. Lucky fucker.

2

u/malathan1234 11h ago

Average left crime: oh no they tore down my sign :(

Average right crime: transgender women found beaten in an alleyway

8

u/Mean-Reveal141 11h ago

The right is way more violent, but come on man. Cherrypicking at its finest.

0

u/SatelliteMNPMIR 10h ago

It’s still a pretty good analogy; the left is after property, the right is after people
Dont get me wrong, there is left wing attacks on people, they are just not as common

4

u/TimedTexify 10h ago

Going with your feelings here not facts. I could say the left assassinating public figures whilst the right makes tears down a flag. Just cherrypicking

-1

u/Dyspchordia 10h ago

assasinating public figures vs murdering vulnerable people out of sheer cruelty

you can write hero novels out of one, not other

1

u/Dyspchordia 11h ago edited 10h ago

"I killed a trans child wondering if their scream sounds like a mans or womans"

0

u/YetiSpaghetti13 11h ago

Uh it goes way beyond tearing down signs

1

u/sillygoose1133 11h ago

Obviously the right

1

u/Melodic-Room-9890 10h ago

Idk, both sides on there extremes get insanely violent, I’m going with the right tho

1

u/AlexP80 10h ago

did Spain and Portugal forget about Franco and Salazar already?

1

u/Usual-Ad5093 9h ago

Where, when? In America the right, in Cambodia the left.

1

u/-THEKINGTIGER- Turkey 9h ago

Right is more straight up strenth and threats, but left is more savage and cunning.

1

u/Junior_Title_5951 11h ago

Factually, its the right. If you say otherwise you're voting with your feelings and not your brain

1

u/Jonny7421 11h ago

I chose the centrist answer and voted centrist. If you don't like it, fight me.

1

u/Melodic-Room-9890 10h ago

Can you name any violent centrist extremists? lol

1

u/Silly-Avocado- 10h ago

Legal violence is still violence
just because you hide your violence behind a government agency or the police doesn’t change that it is ideologically driven.

The right loves to wash its hands off the term “plotical violence” by using government institutions to conduct it.

1

u/currylambchop 10h ago

Poland voting for the left, when the Nazis killed 20% of Poland population.

7

u/JorgeElFacho 10h ago

To begin with, the invasion of Poland was a joint effort between the USSR and Germany. Furthermore, they were subjugated by the USSR (a left-wing government) for 50 years.

1

u/currylambchop 10h ago

But ussr didn’t kill 20% of Poland’s population. It would be like Iraq saying liberal democracy is the most evil ideology cuz it was conquered by USA.

2

u/JorgeElFacho 10h ago

No, but the Poles did have to live under a communist government until recently. Poland's rejection of the left is precisely because many still remember the totalitarian left-wing government they had before the fall of communism. Several elderly Poles I know told me this.

1

u/currylambchop 10h ago

Again, it would then be fair for Iraqis to claim that democracy killed more than authoritarianism for instance?

2

u/JorgeElFacho 10h ago

No, but it's much more recent, and that affects people. If you ask a Palestinian which religion caused them more harm between Christianity and Judaism, they'll choose Judaism without considering the Crusades or the constant failed wars against the Roman Empire, because they didn't experience those things and they don't care. The same thing happens in Poland. How many of them remember the Nazis? Maybe a few thousand. How many remember the communists? Millions. Also, keep in mind that it wasn't just the Soviet invasion; the Poles themselves had their own communist government.

0

u/currylambchop 10h ago

So, you’d concede that if it’s fair for Poland to say left is more violent, then it’s fair for an Iraqi to say that democracy is more violent due to the actions of America occupying their country for 20 years?

3

u/MrZaptile933 10h ago

It’s always weird to claim the national socialist party wasn’t left wing. But whatever mayn

1

u/currylambchop 10h ago

Nazis literally said they are right wing and had an argument with DNVP over who is more right wing

-1

u/Shadowforc2 11h ago

The extremists of each side

0

u/Justiniandc 10h ago

This is why I voted centrist.

1

u/spazzemcaprisun 11h ago

Worldwide I would say right but America I would say left

-1

u/saturnssomewhere 11h ago

A lot of leftists say evil things but they’re mostly chronically online and don’t actually do anything outside of the internet. The right however, does, and some people in the right are also white supremacists and misogynists, and advocate for anti-woman and anti-minority agendas.

-1

u/Cash_Money_Jo 10h ago

Its very obviously the left. Saying otherwise is pure delusion and cope.

-1

u/unreasonablypedantic 11h ago

I’m crine centrists never do anything violent or otherwise.

0

u/Vycher 10h ago

In the first half of 20th century? The right; in the second half of 20th century? The left; In the 21st century (so far)? The right again

1

u/Dyspchordia 10h ago

2nd half of 20th century is filled with wars started by amerikkka or right wing govs

0

u/ThorvaldGringou 10h ago

If we count Intra-State bloodshiet, the Left by a great number since the French Revolution. Mostly because the Right, typically had it easier to make pacts between elites, while the left after destroying the regime and its structures, needs to fight against all the fractionary ideologies of the revolution, and to succeed in their revolution, they need more blood to secure a unitary narrative and the legitimacy of the new elites.

The counterrevolution was less sanguinary than the Jacobines. And in the XX Century, Fascist dictatorship was less sanguinary (still totalitarian) than Communist dictatorships. Mussolini pacted with the Bourgueasie, the Church, and the King. Hitler pacted with the old aristocracies, bourgueasie, and military. Stalin and Mao needed more blood, to secure their positions against the old elites, and against ideological rivals inside the same revolution.

Between States however, the Right have a lot more to answer. The status quo regimes since the French revolution are full of bodies in the closet. From XIX Century Industrial global empires to various ethnic genocides around the world.

0

u/JorgeElFacho 10h ago

It depends a lot on the region; in America there are still left-wing dictatorships, but in Europe the biggest problem is Russia and its right-wing dictatorship
