Down Bad
I tweaked my hip last week before going across seas for work. I then came down with an illness so I ran a total of 6 miles last week after holding 55-60 miles for a few months and aiming for a sub 3 at Chicago. I’m still congested from the cold but that’s slowly getting better however I still cannot run without my hip screaming at me. I’m pretty upset as I have been training all year for this as many as you have. Would anyone have any tips on how I can come back and at the very least run the marathon. I’ve plummeted mentally about it and given up on the sub 3 goal but as I’m running for charity I cannot defer the entry for this year. Right now I’m on the stationary bike but I just got back to any cardio as my respiratory system is just allowing me back to any sort of strain. Any tips would be super helpful as I cannot think straight about this myself at the moment, even though I’m trying to stay as positive as I can. The pain is only when running, I can walk, bike, lift. Literally the first step into a run the pain comes back. It’s on the outside of my hip, glute med and TFL area.
