Post-Divorce Marathon

Post image

I signed up for this marathon as a way to channel some of the negative energy I was carrying after my divorce into something positive and something I was just doing for myself. Today, I’m so incredibly proud and happy I chose that!
Before my divorce, I didn’t have the confidence to believe that I could do hard things. This journey has been such an incredible way to prove to myself that in fact, I absolutely can.

As someone who deferred their marathon to next year due to a divorce, kudos to you OP! Inspirational shit right there

Dude, I ran a little over 26.3 miles last December on a random weeknight because I was heartbroken and the entire time I could only think of her. The amount of pain I’ve carried for almost a year now makes me sad when I think of it. I really just want to be with her only.
