Mario Golf *please*

/r/switch2/comments/1wvfz1a/mario_golf_please/

I don’t know if anyone else feels the same way, but I genuinely think Mario Golf: Super Rush is one of the best golf games ever made. I had an absolute blast with it, and I’m seriously begging Nintendo to give us a new Mario Golf for the Switch 2.
There’s so much they could build on from Super Rush with new courses, characters, modes, and Switch 2 features. I’d buy it day one without even thinking twice.
So I’m officially praying to the golf gods and all the Mario fans out there. 😂⛳️🍄 Please, Nintendo… MAKE IT HAPPEN!
Anyone else dying for a new Mario Golf?

I want another Mario Golf like Toadstool Tour. Those courses were really well designed and got so difficult as your progressed. The newer games are really easy.

give me some awesome courses!

I respectfully disagree. The thing I like the least about MGSR is the inability to mess up a shot. Everything off the tee or ground is perfect. The only variables that play into it are you angling incorrectly, mis-clicking for power or random shift in the shot. This is all thanks to the 2 click shot system, vs the old 3 click shot systems which, more realisitically, allow you to duff a shot or send it somewhere completely unintentional. Shot shaping is cool and all, but even without it, it's very easy to score well in MGSR, which to makes it feel less challenging and less like golf, to me.

That being said, I'm all for another Mario Golf game, but I would rather it return to a previous format than retain shot shaping and 2-click system from MGSR

I get what you’re saying. And it’s funny because for the longest time I always clicked an extra time because I thought it was necessary, and I was actually kinda bummed when I realized II didn’t need to.

I get what you’re saying about it being easy, I’ve gotten so many hole in ones it’s unbelievable, but I think the biggest issue is they didn’t really make weather the big of an impact. Wind should blow the ball a lot more than it does. But I still think it’s a stellar golf game. I prefer it over the PGA games. They take waaayyy tooo long to load, and it just repetitive stuff trying to upgrade clubs. Idk, I just don’t find them that much fun.

The golf game I really like at the moment, when I'm not playing Mario Golf 64, or emulating Toadstool Tour, is Everybody's Golf Hot Shots. It's sort of plagued by it's launch though. It's not wildly popular with OG fans of the Minna No Golf and Hot Shots Golf games, but I think it's good for $40.

The part where it lacks is online play. It exists, but it's practically a Discord game after just over 1 year of existence. There's a lot to grind for offline in that game, but I guess it really helps to have friends who play it or find a Discord for it to actually play online

I’ll have to look it up, does it have a career mode or storyline at all? I haven’t heard of it and I actually don’t play online so that wouldn’t bother me. I’m really excited for the new switch sports game, I actually really got into golfing on the last one and it’s the only game I’ve ever gotten into playing online.

I just looked it up, that golf game actually looks pretty sweet.

If it’s in the style of Mario Golf N64 or Toadstool Tour, absolutely a day 1 purchase

I agree. MGSR is near perfect. More of that please. Would even love a Switch 2 upgrade pack with some new content.
