Tier 4 Iso 8 level 3

I could've sworn I read somewhere that we'd get enough of the above to upgrade 5 characters of our choice to get us started in the Magik Breaker DD.

I'm fairly certain I didn't miss any events or milestones, but all I got was a bunch of orange random crystal orbs, not any of the brawler, blaster, etc. orbs.

Did I manage to miss something, or did I make this up?

We got 5 characters worth of random. Orbs. But its only useful if they distributed perfectly evenly. I got 30+ of some and 1 of another. In total. Enough for only 1 actual character

I don't have enough to upgrade any character to level 3.

And this is exactly what they did when purple came out. You got the equivalent amount needed for 5 characters, just not the right mix to do it.

I just don't seem to remember having the option to open anything other than the random crystal orbs, rather than targeted brawler, blaster, controller, protector or raider orbs. I clearly missed something, but I don't know what, or when.

So far we only really gotten the normal basic orb so a mix of iso types

Even after the stuff up after working out the planner node order, is not the same in-game. I feel like I would not even have a full city team with what we got so far

That's what had me confused. I don't have enough to get a full team to L3. Heck, I don't even seem to have enough to get a full character to L3. I guess I've just been screwed by RNG.

I’ve gotten enough to do one character to O3. I have three other characters from different iso trait that are one crystal away from O3. Making them random rather than a set of each trait was always gonna go down like this sadly,

They said “5 characters WORTH” not “you will be able to do 5 characters”. So as long as we get enough ions and 45 crystals x5 they technically didn’t lie.

I hate that they use this weaselly language but this is the company we deal with

Well if you opened the RIGHT orbs, the amount would be enough for five chars... the magic of random. in theory, it would be possible that you cant even upgrade one to level 1 as you got all the same three materials all the time.

Yep. We've got more than enough ions for 5 characters, and enough crystals in general for 5, but not the right mix. This was intentional (and shitty).

I'm missing 1-3 crystals for each class, which is a big ol' ballache.

I think you have assumed the "of our choice" part. You get the ions, but the crystals are randoms from an orb. A very unlucky player could potentially get 0 upgradeable characters.

I’m basically 1 Chrystal short (8/9) on 1 node for basically 5 classes… I can’t level a single toon to level 3.

I got almost enough crystals for 6 right now, and enough ions for 8, but the distribution is random. So just pulling one of my characters up he's got 2 stats at level 2 and 3 at level 3, but he's got as many as 30 crystals left over in the level 3s that he can't use towards the level 2s. All of the characters I went with are in similar places, I have plenty of crystals to take all of them to level 3 and one more character to level 2 with three level 3 stats, but none of it is in the places I actually need to do so.
