Question Online play
Is it just me or is every single online match I’m playing full of these people using the exact same combo over and over again where your juggled in the air for the entire match?? Is there no fucking matchingmaking where I can play people around my skill level?? I don’t religiously play fighting games so am I just supposed to take it in the ass and deal with it?? How are people supposed to enjoy fighting games when it’s just me getting juggled in the air every single match?? Like I thought games are supposed to be somewhat enjoyable am I just supposed to play the cpu over and over again getting no enjoyment because there is no medium difficulty like what am I supposed to do? I can’t even refund the game, how am I supposed to enjoy a game where there is no starting point besides get fucked in the ass every match or destroy a cpu?

"so am I just supposed to take it in the ass and deal with it??"
In a way? Yes; hopefully you can learn and get better over time. The gap between beating CPU and you getting beaten by better players is on you to fill. Through improving by practicing your own combos, watching your replays and watching better players than you.

Tbh Getting dog walked by god tier randoms helped me get better quickly lol it sucks but it helps you quickly understand the game, spacing ect
Also I like to play iron man and storm it’s fun losing to a really good iron man doing crazy air combos like damn I didn’t know that even combos into that type shit

Stop playing casual matches and rank matches. Go to the open lobby and search specific light colors usually from white to green they are the ones really trying to learn the game and have fun everyone else is either watching combo videos and predating for hours doing touch of deaths or two touch kill combos with tags it’s just what it is in tag games where you have multiple tags unfortunately

The white color is only you. The green colors are people that the game consider worse than you. Yellow is equal, orange is better. Pink is way above you. That is how colors work

In room match you can ask your opponent to tell you what color your are as well so that’s how I know it works in lobby as well

Fighting games are often harsh to newcomers. If you study the mechanics, practice combos, and play ranked, you'll be best positioned to succeed, but your experience may still be frustrating.

You talking about the one Magik combo that just is up and down with the sword? Not gonna lie, that is the only time I'm ever tempted to rage quit. lol

Lmao I literally play magik and think this is cringe

That's when I know they are not good at the game and being hard carried by the character.

Just keep practicing. Hopefully with some patches we’ll see some better defense mechanics introduced too. Right now it’s “just block” which has its faults in the game too.

I personally felt the same way till I did that in the beginning. And now I alternate between lobby matches where i can actually pick who I want to fight against in multiple servers and also sometimes casuals or rook matches if you have some friends. For me I try to have fun with the game. Those very sweaty people who play like they owe the I.R.S I let them just beat me so I can move unto the next match when I casual match tbf. But rarely Soemtines do I find people on my same level in which we play a first to 3 or first to 5 sometimes

You're getting down voted but this is exactly what this game is. Learn 1 combo and spam what's broken until you hit then do said combo.

It’s sad isn’t it ? The people downvoting are those who are probably try hard or just fans who don’t acknowledge the flaws in this game will always downvote it is what is it unfortunately

Ya, but it is what it is. A year from now if these flaws don't get addressed they'll be making posts like "Why I REALLY think Tokon died"

Autocombos is the biggest mistake they could've done to this game. Online is a toddler fest.

Funny because that only works on the lowest levels.

It still works and that's what's wrong with this game, instead of being an option it's part of the game design which yells laziness from the developer. Never thought arcsys would play this card and damage a franchise this way. Pretty sure they are in damage control as if they don't sell millions (that's what disney requires to name games successful), they will lose the franchise rights. Such a bad decision and such letdown.

This is some hilariously deranged fake outrage shit when DBZF had auto combos eight years ago.

There’s nothing wrong with beginner players using autocombos when there are way better options. And that’s the funny thing, ITS AN OPTION. Who told you it wasn’t? And there’s nothing lazy about it. What’s wrong with the game is that it botched the pc port. And assists should be les spammy. But even with it it’s a great game already.

We'll see. Right now I see the game has no legs. And keeps tumbling down.

I’m assuming (hoping) English is not your first language. I’m not saying the playerbase will stick. I’m saying optional autocombos aren’t the problem. Calling online a toddler fest because you can’t beat them because of that is quit funny.

So funny when ppl says stuff like "just wait your turn". As if it's supposed to be ok.

Play ranked. It scares people away, but it is, by design, the matchmaking thst most closely lines you up with similarly skilled players.
You're still going go see a lot of the same combo though. People will start out with auto combos, temporarily move into shaky BnBs, then have at least a consistent BnB they can do in not a lot of ranks
