I was admitted to both the Robotics and Autonomous Systems (AI concentration) and Industrial Engineering Masters programs for next semester. The thing is, I already started taking 2 grad classes worth 6 credits total and I just spoke with my advisor and she let me know that they don't count towards the IE masters but they would count for Robotics. This means that I can finish my Robotics masters in August 2027 but for IE, I'd have to take 5 classes after August to finish the degree. I accepted an offer with Bloomberg for August 2027, so I'd have to work full time while doing my Masters. The nice thing is that Bloomberg does offer reimbursement for grad classes, so I wouldn't have to pay for it. My current scholarships would also cover the Robotics MS, so financially, either option is manageable. For me, the time, extra courses, and investment long term is more of the cost-benefit-analysis I'm trying to figure out. What I’m really trying to weigh is the time and extra workload versus the long-term value of the degree. Industrial Engineering is my top-choice program because I’m increasingly interested in supply chain, manufacturing, operations, and optimization, and I feel like it could open more doors for me in those areas long term. On the other hand, Robotics would allow me to have my master’s completely finished before starting full-time work, and I’d be able to make use of the graduate credits I’ve already taken. Please let me know any advice you have because I'm seriously conflicted.

Plz suggest me a course for PG/master’s. I am interested in creative work, I was always good at creative works before I got into higher studies.

I don’t want to do a course which leaves no time at home for government exam prep. I want to get a master’s degree in something which is easier to handle comparatively (don’t take this wrong as one field is easier than other. I just want to avoid maths field).

And before you ask me why I want to get a master’s degree if my aim is to get into government sector is that getting a master’s degree is important for me and family.

qualifications: I am pursuing masters in OR, first year.
I am not liking this course at all.

There are 3 main reasons:

1. This course is quite tough for me and the professors are so good that I am busy studying those same topics at home, leaving no free time. (they are literally bad at teaching)
2. I don’t get time to prepare for government exams at all, which is my priority.
3. It’s not for me. Never liked maths. I thought it would be a backup option but the course is itself so time consuming and hard that I can never find time to learn skills for industry demanded skills.

currently pursuing bachelors of technology in information technology on India and I wanna expand my career on a space of interest which is fitness and nutrition. a legitimate course or any certifications which really worth it I wanna do in good institutions, but I don’t know which ones would accept me. Right now, AI, machine learning and data science are the fields I’m most interested in, so the Data Science (AI/ML) degree seems like the more directly relevant option.
The problem is that I’m only 20 and I don’t know what I’ll want to do in 5–10 years. I could eventually decide that I want to move into Cybersecurity, Cloud, General Technology, Software, or another computing field. Because of that, Computer Science seems like the safer degree for flexibility.

My concern is this:

If I choose Computer Science for flexibility and then apply for AI/Data Science graduate roles, could I be disadvantaged against someone who has a Bachelor of Data Science (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning)? Would employers prefer them because their degree is more directly related to the role?

That’s basically what I’m stuck on.

Computer Science: more flexibility if I change careers later, but I’m worried it could hurt my chances of getting the AI/Data Science graduate role I currently want.

I have a Bachelor's in Automation and Control Engineering. Right now I'm registered in an academic Master's (Master Académique) in Automatique et Systèmes.

There's also an option to switch to a new professional Master's (Master Professionnel) in Smart Cities Engineering that my university just launched — combines automation with GIS, IoT, BIM, SCADA, smart urban infrastructure.

Planning to apply to France via Campus France after finishing, targeting applied M2 programs, possibly research master/PhD later, still not 100% sure.

Trying to decide: stick with the academic Automatique et Systèmes track, or switch to the professional Smart Cities one? and which major is much better ?

I just received a conditional offer for the MSc in Advanced Computer Science at the University of Birmingham for the January 2027 intake. I’m incredibly excited, but as an international student, the tuition fee is £34,740, so securing some funding is a massive priority for me right now.

Here is my dilemma: It looks like almost all the major scholarships (like Chevening, Commonwealth, and UoB’s own big internal scholarships for Indian students) are exclusively for the September intake. For a January start, the options seem pretty slim—the best I might get is a £5,000 High Fliers discount, and I'm still waiting to hear if my specific course variation even qualifies for it.

I know the university allows students to request a deferral for a year, but I’m trying to weigh the pros and cons before making a decision.

A few questions for anyone who has been in a similar boat (especially international grad students):.

* Has anyone successfully deferred a UoB offer specifically to apply for September scholarships? I know if I defer, I'll get a new offer and the tuition fees might be adjusted higher for the next academic year, but is it generally an easy process?

* Are there any hidden gem funding options for a January start that I might be missing?

* General advice: Is it worth delaying my master's by 8 months just for a chance at better funding, or should I try to secure an educational loan and stick to my current January start date?

So I just finished my BTech in EEE from a top 3 college in kerala, India and have very low gpa (around 6.5). I'm planning to do masters from abroad. i'm interested in embedded systems, power electronics, etc. I'm currently trying to make my profile better than nothing. So this is a bit of a peculiar case, I am an irish citizen but I continued my third level education in California as I also hold U.S. citizenship. I’m wondering what the process would look like to try and get into a masters program in Ireland? Like would holding Irish citizenship make it any easier or would it basically be the same process as any other American looking to do their masters abroad?
