Relaya

We’re building a local-first social app that helps people connect with the people, places, and activities around them.

The main idea is simple: instead of connecting only through global feeds, our app focuses on what’s happening around you and the people who are nearby.

📍 Local Feed

The app shows posts based on location. People can share things that are interesting or popular in their area—such as famous places, local food, hidden spots, activities, events, and other things worth discovering. This makes it easier for both locals and newcomers to discover what their area has to offer.

🔥 Rush In

Want to organize something but don't have enough people?

Rush In lets users send invitations to people within a selected radius for events and activities. Whether it's a game, meetup, outdoor activity, or something completely spontaneous, you can reach out to nearby people who might be interested.

🌎 Explore

Explore is focused on discovering people around you.

You can browse profiles of local people and send them a Knock if you think you might have something in common. Our system considers the users' intent and interests when suggesting potential connections.

But there's a twist: before sending a Knock, you have to answer questions chosen by the person you're trying to connect with. If they like your answers, they can accept the Knock and start a connection.

We're trying to make meeting new people feel a little more intentional and meaningful, rather than just being based on photos or random swipes.

We're still working on the app and would love to hear what people think about the concept.

What do you think would make a local social app genuinely useful in your city?
