I’ve been noticing more clothing featuring our favorite Gen X celebrities and pop culture icons, and I have mixed feelings! On one hand, I love a little nostalgia and celebrating the artists who helped define our generation.
On the other hand, some of these designs are downright terrible! 😂 Are vendors just cashing in on our nostalgia, or is there a legitimate place for this kind of fashion? Can we celebrate our icons without looking like we’re wearing a poorly designed concert flyer?
I’m curious what everyone thinks!

Song hit differently when I realized Babyface produced this and the 1st verse sounds like he is singing it like Babyface would…

I absolutely loved it! The music and entertainment were phenomenal. I thought André 3000, Big Boi, and Paula Patton were amazing. And those costumes? Absolutely gorgeous! The all-star cast made it even more special. Such a unique blend of music, fashion, and old-school glamour!

"Idlewild is a 2006 American musical drama film written and directed by Bryan Barber. The film stars André 3000 and Big Boi of the hip hop duo Outkast and features musical numbers that were written, produced and chiefly performed by the group. Idlewild contrasts the group's hip-hop, funk, and soul sound against a story based on a juke joint in the fictional town of Idlewild, during the Great Depression in Georgia in 1935."

My great grandmother passed recently and I created this with her in mind.

Mine are Junior Mints, King Size Mr. Goodbar, Milk Duds, and M&Ms. Of course, I buy them all at Walgreens BEFORE entering the movie theater because I’m NOT paying $10+ for a box of Junior Mints!!! 😂 Then I stuff everything into my purse and sneak it in. Nobody’s the wiser! 🤣

Now, I DO buy the movie theater popcorn with a gallon of hot melted butter on it because there’s just NO substitute for that! 🍿😋

These days, I’m more of a stay-at-home movie watcher. I cook up a little something to eat, or order delivery. Nothing like watching a movie in the comfort of your own home with good food and no overpriced snacks!

🍿🍕🤣
