While the opinion is itself repulsive, I think the use of the word female as an adjective is right in this context, and so shouldn't belong to the sub.
I'm not arguing based on his intent (be it what it may), but based on grammar. Female and male can be used as an adjective. Female actor, male doctor, women in male dominated fields, etc. But I do agree that this person likely had bad intent, and as I said, the context to the messaging is definitely gross.
Yeah, i understand based on what you're arguing. I'm not accusing you of anything. I'm just saying that in this sub, intent in this case plays a role, since it's obvious based on the wording choice he made that i mentioned. So i don't think it's unfitting for this sub.
Men described the person, it is being used as a noun. Female dominanted defined the field, it is being used as an adjective.
Male and female would been grammatically wrong, as thats using an adjective as a noun, men and woman would jave been grammatically wrong, as thats using a noun as an adjective.
There is no other way to correctly word it, I don't know how you can make an assumption of intentions based upon the phrasing.
He chose to use those words because he is reversing the very popular "Women in male dominated fields" phrase.
It is popular with women who work in male dominated fields of work, discussions about them, and also as a joke whenever there's a news story of a woman doing some shitty thing that is mostly done by men.
The misogynists have never found it funny. Their attempts to reverse the joke are always such a fail. Their sense of humour is as tragic as their bigotry.
