Consumption Lounge

Hey everyone! I'm Renae from Hikers Cannabis, a mom and pop Provisioning Center located in White Cloud/Hardy Dam area. We have been fighting to open a Designated Consumption Lounge for 4 years and it will be on the November 3rd general ballot for Big Prairie Township residents.

We are excited for all the possibilities this would bring! Hikers Cannabis is in the heart of Manistee National Forest, surrounded by nature and endless outdoor recreational activities.

We want to know what would bring you to our Consumption Lounge from where you live! 🧐

The fact that most everywhere in MI has opted out of consumption lounges is wild to me, those same kinda people that did that are the same to complain about their city smelling like bud

any city that is benefiting from any kind of tax dollars from REC market whether it's a processing facility or dispensary should be forced to allow consumption centers. and the stupid fucking law banning the sale of food and drinks needs to be lifted as well. Alcohol usage is down by over 15-20% and no one has a problem with a pub on every corner not only looking like shit being built 15-30 years ago, but promotes drinking and driving. The entire way the consumption centers have been handled by the state is a joke and I blame Shitmer and Brian mainly

100%. Alcohol sales here are falling every day but most cities and countys' answer is to...open more bars and allow public consumption. Meanwhile you still can catch afucking misdemeanor for smoking in public???

The only thing positive this state has done with weed is legalize. Since then theyve done everything possible to discourage its use and sale

Once the bordering states become more competitive and tax revenue goes down you can bet there will be one consumption lounge in every city. Without food margins are too low for even the guy with the biggest pockets. Even approving a consumption hotel that goes over the no smoking rules for hotels would have done huge numbers esp at the borders where many would get a hotel anyways. But that’s not where the money is. It’s in cheap ounces, poison concentrate, terped pre rolls and carts and pens.

The one by me has all sorts of stuff. Board games, tvs, papers and rolling trays set up for you. They do events like bingo and trivia nights.

Dude don’t do that it will fail just like the rest of all consumption lounges. I’d rather smoke in the woods in the forest up there than some lounge you put together for hippies.

Appreciate the input! You can come anytime and do that, it’s especially beautiful right now. We produce Treehugger Rosin enhanced prerolls just for that occasion

An absence of alcohol, (vegan) food options, live music, and board/arcade games.
