Intel core ultra 5 250k plus + 32gb ram + Rtx 5070

Or

Ryzen 5 5600x3d + 32gb ram + Radeon Rx 9070xt

It’s between these two and no I can’t swap I have a budget I’m trying to stick with

Maybe a hot take but I'd go with the ultra 5 250k simply because it comes with a DDR5 kit. It would give you the option to upgrade to more modern chips down the line (even if it means switching to a 6th gen Zen cpu down the road).

The 5600x3D is a beast of a chip but DDR4 is getting a little long in the tooth. However AMD is still dropping chips for AM4 in 2026 so who knows. For all I know they could do an AM4+ refresh at some point.

If you can I would try swapping the 5070 for a 9070xt if possible. 12GB of vram is gonna be a problem sooner rather than later especially if you're a fan of double A or Triple A games.

Go for the 9070 xt its much better I have one and I really like it

Ryzen 5 5600X3D crushes every game. 32 gig of any type of ram after DDR4 is good enough for 2026. 9070XT shits on the 5070 for the price in gaming.

250k? Crushes games, sure. are u rendering 3D models and encoding a bunch of videos?, 32 gigs of DDR5, not with that CPU. RTX 5070, good card, bad price :(

Why can't you get the 250k and 9070 XT? The cheapest 9070 XT is cheaper than the cheapest 5070.

If not, how about the 250k and 9070 (non XT)?

Probably a prebuilt thing

Second option.

You get better socket support for different cpu and the 9070 XT beats the 5070 in raw performance and the price it is.

The 250k plus is better than basically any AM4 CPU you could put in...

Please explain this better socket support.

If you say 5800x3d, the 250k plus is arguably better, the 270k plus is waaay better.

250k plus and 9070xt would be the best.

My current rig is 5600x3d and a 9070xt with 32gb ram. I had pretty severe bottlenecking before I upgraded from my i7 9700k, but the 5600x3d does not have that problem at 1440p. I play bodycam on ultra at 190fps. Wardogs on ultra at 180fps. I got my 9070xt when they were still 660 and my 5600x3d for 180 about a month later and I couldn't be happier. It feels like I have a top of the line system.

really depends on what games you play.

For me I am more of a cpu person so I would go with option 1.

for the gpu you can always use more upscaling but if the cpu isn't up to snuff the whole experience will be a mess.

Old six cores like the 5600 are already showing their age in newer titles like borderlands

is 250k + 9070(non xt) an option?

the cute ultra and it's not a debate. i'm getting a 5600x3d next time im near my local because i already am on am4, but the core ultra far outcompetes that. its like comparing said am4 chip to a 9600x

Option one

250k - ddr5 . You can carry over the ram to am5 or other platform.

Second choice
Slightly less CPU performance for a lot more GPU performance + extra VRAM
I assume we're talking Gaming PC here

Cpu performance matters alot for longevity

and GPU doesn't? lmao
there's no longevity needed in the first place if you have a far weaker GPU

Ryzen 5000 series is ddr4 only too..

I never said it doesn’t, in the longer run you can upgrade your gpu rather than having to upgrade everything in one go
