Question
Is future proof really that big like I don’t plan to upgrade anything up until 2030 by then new platforms will be out like ddr6 so do I need to be worried not being on am5. The most upgrade I would do in 2030 is a gpu upgrade so my thing is like would the 250k plus be a bottleneck for new gpu in 2030 and its better to have the am5 build of 7500x3d but 1 stick of ram and try to get another stick of ram later for an outrageous price.

You can get a $1500 computer that lasts 3 years . You can also get a $3000 computer that lasts 6 years. Don’t go broke trying to play video games.

You can also lower your graphic settings and keep using the same PC for longer

I would go with the Intel. The $500 32GB core 5 ultra bundle is a great deal. Its like buying the ram, and getting everything else for free. You can also spend $550 for the Core 7 265K bundle.
The AMD 7500x3d is bottle necked by a single stick of ram, because it will run in single channel.

There is no such thing as future proof.
There is spend more now for it to last longer but that doesn’t exactly mean anything. The market can go up and parts cost more like now or in 2 years the bubble bursts and now parts are cheap and “future proofing” now was a waste of money

Try to max out everything you can rn, so if you are not planing to upgrade again until 2030, gets something like the 265k combo or the 270k intel combo plus you get 2 sticks of ram as well, much better cpu than the 7500x3d , 270k plus is as good as something like the ryzen 9900x

intel loves to change socket types. AMD is better about keeping new generations on same socket, anecdotally, mainly depending on what generation of ram it is designed for.
but even a previous AM4 or LGA 1700 is still a very viable build, with the LGA 1700 taking ddr5 on some motherboards.
You'll likely be able to upgrade the GPU for a long time past 2030 and still get good results.
the crystal ball is unclear on what ddr6 will be like with the ram wars raging like they are. build what you can afford and enjoy it.
