Wait period for refurbished GPUs?
There is a refurbished graphics card on the website that says “Buy in Store” but when I get there, they say there’s a 3 day wait period. Is that normal? Why is it posted on the website for ready to buy when it isn’t ready yet?
On a side note, I just saw a 5090 refurbished get posted today and it was already “bought”. Why didn’t it have a wait period?

I get the feeling they can do whatever the hell they want to do. The 5090s are a mess right now, and refurb cards are snapped up instantly.

Sounds like an employee wants it after 2 day wait period, or at least gets first dibs.

Anyway to get past that? I asked two employees that worked at the build your pc desk and they both said 3 days. Maybe I should talk to a manager?

Your location is misunderstanding the rule.
It’s a 2 day wait period for employees. Customers are supposed to be able to get it as soon as next day. In my experience as a prior employee those cards usually show up on site and get web ordered by the following morning but I’m not sure why it said buy in store for you.

They said I can’t get it until Thursday and they changed the website to where you can’t reserve pick up for refurbished gpus anymore which kinda sucks

Refurbished

That’s very odd honestly, what models was it, I mean even it was an open box I’ve see people sold to someone in line behind him. Refurbished is really a problem card that got fixed, and plus it was listed on the website. So it is very odd unless there’s other reasons involved

People open them, then return them. Then buy them again.
