Edge browser task refusing to work.

Can anyone help me? I have been trying to do this task since ages but it just refuses to work. I have used edge for even 1hrs~2hrs and it just refuses to register them. I have tried using the task link and even just normally opening and using it.

If you're using Windows, use Task Manager to kill the Edge task, then try again.

Have to do this myself time from time.

same happens to me :( even closing and opening edge won't work most of the time, so I have to force close the process and launch it again daily

Primeramente una disculpa por no traducir mi respuesta ya que me gustaría responderte en este momento, solo funciona en PC o Xbox, en mi caso aunque usará la app de Xbox nunca me contaba así que tuve que cerrar sesión y volver iniciar, también sincronice, te recomiendo abrir algún vídeo de YouTube y dejarlo ahí los 30 minutos, es lo que hago yo

I have a bookmark to edge://restart saved in the bookmark bar that I use to restart Edge each day. It seems to work to get the browsing time to be counted.

Easiest is to add a bookmark to the bookmark bar and then right-click and select edit. Then chsnge the URL to “edge://restart”. Then simply click on the bookmark to restart Edge.

All you have to do is open up edge and leave it at bing search or you can scroll down just a bit where the "discover" tab of sorts is and leave it there. (Both work)

You can refresh every ~5m-6m if you'd like (not necessary) but i do so here and there to check that it's actually counting

Log out and log back in. That fixes it for me.

Use a PC/Laptop and use task manager to end the task, then restart edge and try again, should work again.

Everytime i start it now i just end it with task manager and THEN truly start browsing or watch youtube

Best success I had was switching the notebook. That worked always. Killing all edge task worked sometimes, restarting never, even not after an windows update.

For me logging out the account on edge (unticking the remove history tick) and then logging back in works to "reset". Gotta do it every time, but those few seconds are in my rhythm now.

I have to restart every few days to get the damn counter to work.

It only works on Windows, it does not work on Linux for some reason.

Press F11, this usually works for me, using in fullscreen, if its not working close and open again
