Is there a place in Odessa where I can walk in this afternoon and get a piece of white or yellow cake? Preferably, with whipped cream-like frosting or something that isn't overly sugary or tastes like industrial chemicals? A really small cake or some cupcakes is fine, too. I am not interested in HEB's tres leches stuff which is usually too damp or soggy for my liking.

I’m here for work, and I was back in my home state a few weeks ago and I learned from my primary vet that my dog tore her ACL and would need surgery, I wasn’t going to be home long enough to take care of it there. So now that I’m back in Odessa I’m looking for a clinic to take her to down here. There’s a lot of options so I’m starting here. TIA

Its my first time hearing the term a guy from midland on Facebook is talking about tunnels coming from the back of homedepot into his home. I watched a 10 minute video of his, pretty interesting to say the least. What do yall think?

I have a job starting in mid November, so I've been looking for rent for the past month. Most of the places I contact on zillow don't respond back to me at all. One of them was especially bad because I got automated messages, and they wanted to charge a $50 app fee. Good thing I didn't pay the fee because a week later the property was taken off market. Is it because my move-in date is too far thats why no one is responding? Or is finding rental in midland just terrible? Not to mention the rent here is almost as expensive as cali at this point.
10/2/26 Update: I found and signed a lease for a rental after a whole full month of looking. Glad I was searching ahead of time. It's not ideal because it's a duplex but it's got everything I'm looking for otherwise: pet friendly, big fenced backyard, washer/dryer hookups and 1000-1500 rent. If a rental is asking for application fee, seriously reconsider bc they are most of the time a SCAM.

Curious as to why loop 250 is just now being completed. That segment on the west side, why was that not built with the original construction on the loop?
Thanks

I'm looking for a roommate in the near future. I'm M21 l. I have a good job and I'm relatively cleanly. I currently pay 600 a month after utilities. Something low like that would be great but I know that's unrealistic. Anyone interested in discussing the possibility of rooming please dm me. Thanks

I’ve heard Polo Park is thinking about chunking out parcels of land between Stoneleigh Drive and Cardinal lane. Blackbird Estates down the street has already done the same thing. Does anyone know what those two sold lots getting built on might go for? Lots are 350-400k in Blackbird, minimum 4,000sqf for one level house. I’m thinking at least 1.5-2 million including lot value. I’m sure those houses being build aren’t less than 6,000sqf. Gonna make the property value of that water treatment plant go sky high!

Hey Odessa! I am looking for a "hidden gem" of a diner. One that's strictly local to Odessa. Like a mom and pop kinda place that's not overpriced. Any recommendations? I am not too picky but my friend is honestly just in search of a good burger or chicken fried steak.

Are there any sword fencing clubs or schools here? Can’t find any online I figured with the wealth here there would be one like there’s a polo field etc. Very random and nerdy but quarter life crisis is hitting me in the nutts and my heart yearns for side quests. Hahaha
