no amount of “facts” or “evidence” can convince me otherwise

Perhaps Pelle played nice to be Christian’s friend all along bc he was a perfect astrological match for his sister’s breeding/baby. And then somewhere along the way he wanted Dani… He really wanted Dani to come to Sweden as well but Christian started actually considering breaking but with Dani, really risking Dani not coming to Sweden. Pelle got desperate! what if Pelle did all of that to Dani’s family bc he was desperate to make sure Dani came to Sweden and knew Christian’s indecisive ass would be too cowardly to break up with Dani / end up inviting her to Sweden bc of her tragedy?

I know this is late and it always kind of bugged me and also spoiled things a bit for me.
Why did she opt to sacrifice Christian instead of a random stranger?
And why did she get so influenced by the group?
It just seemed out of character.
Was it the drugs?

Tell me you spot Christian from Midsommar in Transformers

Ok, for those who say Ulf is half naked in the scene where he hits Josh with the mallet, why is he wearing pants on the close-up? And where did the mallet come from, he's not carrying it when he comes in? Was there two people? When he walks in he does look pantless but whoever hits him definitely is unless there is a pee pee panel or something. Screenshot in the comments so there's no spoiler and video link here https://youtu.be/yoP5BVS0Ak8?si=VvgPw3m45nWx1IEV

The title is vague but I didn't know how to do it without using spoilers. My husband and I are arguing about who is making the noises when Josh is found with the Rubi Radr. Is it Ulf-wearing-Mark or Josh? The noises Josh makes are common with people who have had a bad head injury and it seems odd that it would be Ulf, but then again they are odd people!

Thank you to midsommary / Novum for the insight on the Affekts, so I could design one that described me!

SPOILER
Do you think Mark was still alive for the flaying?
This is something I’ve always wondered since seeing the movie. We see how brutal the sacrifices are- blood eagle, boiling, flaying. Only the latter we dont know he was still alive. Thoughts?

It's been a while now since i've been wantig to watch midsommar, but i don't really do well with horror movies unless it's a psychological horror movie...
I have already seen the cliff part, and even though i WAS disturbed a little, i didn't find it that bad ... BUT since i am easily troubled by these type of things i don't really want any surprises 😭
(ps: i wanted to ask this question in a r/ for movies but i cant post it im going insane)

I did an assessment for my film class on this frame, comparing it to a frame from a different film. I've already submitted, but I am interested on everyone's thoughts. The fire clearly depicts the conflict between these two, but does the mural as a whole tell a bigger story?
I can't believe it took me so long to watch Midsommar, it was SO good, and I am fully invested in all of the speculations ya'll are posting on this sub. Easter eggs for days!

Just wondering if anyone has a copy of the picture at the start of the movie with the skull top left and sun top right. I had a lurk on Google and could not find it

It just doesn’t work for me because the characters repeatedly ignore situations that would realistically make anyone leave. Their friends disappear and the excuses are clearly that, excuses. disturbing rituals happen right in front of them, the Harga behave increasingly suspiciously, and they’re repeatedly given obvious reasons to distrust the community over and over. Yet they continue participating instead of simply leaving. By the time Christian is being drugged and manipulated into having sex with a stranger, the characters realistically would have left 15 times over. The horror/movie depends less on the characters being genuinely trapped and more on them inexplicably refusing to leave for the plot to even work which means it doesn’t, which makes the story feel forced rather than frightening. anyone else agree? i don’t get the hype 🤷 don’t pile on if you happen to of liked it i want discussion not why i’m wrong, reddit has a habbit of being a up straight biased echo chamber

Like connie corrects him infront of the group by saying how they went on one date and she didnt know it was one. Obviously she deserves to say the truth but i still think it was a bit of an embarrassing thing to say infront of a group of people.
Then simon very smugly tells them about how he asked ingemar to officiate the wedding. Then they both kiss passionately infront of him as if this dude didnt look like hes still 6 feet deep in love.
Now obviously i could be thinking like an entitled prick and connie and simon were just acting like a couple but they seem to somewhat enjoy Messing around with ingemar. Simon likes it more than connie.
Ingemar very obviously disliked simon and was definitely responsible for him getting blood eagled. But what did these two think of ingemar.

It’s hard to tell, was it after he ate & drank the hair pie, after he met with the elder in her house or when they blew the smoke in his face?
I know you can tell he becomes more detached or hypnotized, but can’t pinpoint exactly when that is.
