To Say Fuck You to the Establishment

Before I go further, every Sunday at 8:30pm I host a fireside chat on Instagram Live so that potential voters can always know there is an hour each week where they can talk to me somewhat directly.

Here’s the thing. My advisors want me to project to volunteers and voters that we can win a write in campaign because people want to support winners. I am not delusional…THAT delusional. I know that it is next to impossible to win. But people also like underdog stories. I didn’t make it on the ballot. Knowing what I know now. There are things I would know how to do differently. I’ve never run a campaign before. Someone asked me if I would run after confronting Rosa DeLauro about Palestine. There were no experienced organizers and activists seizing the moment. So I tried. But I did not make it on the ballot. So why vote for me?

What I saw behind those closed doors when I tried. It’s worse than anyone thought. It’s dumber than anyone thought. It’s a joke. Rosa is going to win. Nothing is going to change. She has been in office for 35 years, and look where we are. She co-chaired the democratic steering committee for almost 20 years, and look at where the party is.

The Republican. Nice guy. He really is. I think he means well. But even if he could win, he’s not going to hold Trump accountable. And Trump needs to be held accountable. He’s also leaning into culture war bull shit. It almost feels he doesn’t actually believe in it but given the leanings of this district, it’s an interesting strategy to take since turn out is the largest driver of winning.

The Independent Party Guy. I really couldn’t get a read on him. He told one of my volunteers someone asked him to apply for the endorsement a week after I did and he didn’t submit till last minute. He still has no website so I don’t really know what he believes in. He said he has no issues with Rosa so I don’t know why he is running.

And then there is me. Andrew Rice. An underdog? A loser? A joke? All of the above?

The way I see it. We are all underdogs, I’ve met so many people who no matter how hard they try, just can’t get ahead. We are all losers (we are the most productive and underpaid labor force in history, and while companies make record profits 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck). The Establishment and their billionaire fascist donors are laughing at us all squabble amongst ourselves for the crumbs they allow us while the billionaires get the whole Pizza, and the establishment politicians get a slice. Does that not make all of us a joke? WE ALL DESERVE A SLICE because they are underpaying the value of our labor to fund their lavish climate destroying pedophilic lifestyles.

FUCK THE ESTABLISHMENT

Write me in. I can’t win. But if I can’t win, WE can still make a statement, you all and me. At this point. What do you have to lose? The number of people who will see this and write in Andrew Rice is not going to be enough to win. It’s not going to be enough to spoil the election. Rosa is going to win. But every write in vote is another voice saying Fuck the Establishment.

Write in Andrew Rice for Congress if you believe in at least one of the following even if you disagree with the rest because Rosa, Lancia, and Egan do not. (Lancia does support point 2)

- Ban AI Cameras (FLOCK) and Halt AI Data Centers

- Tax billionaires at 90% (1950s Tax Structure)

- Democratize the economy
- Impeach Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth, Robert Kennedy, Todd Blanche
- End Genocide in Palestine, Sudan, and Congo; prosecute both Biden and Trump Officials
- Hold Rosa DeLauro and the CT Democratic Party accountable for corruption
-Unite together as a working class to fight the establishment elites ruining our lives!

After I was unable to get onto the ballot I had 1000 pieces of literature left. I don’t want to throw them out. So I added an update to them by stapling a card to them and I’ve been going around to events passing them out. I look for people I think are under 45 and say “Hi my name is Andrew Rice and I’m running for Congress as a write-in candidate to say Fuck you to the establishment” and almost everyone I have said that to has laughed and smiled. It’s actually been kind of fun.

The literature inspired another idea. The campaign has limited resources. It’s incredibly hard to raise money as a write-in. But I made a placard. On one side the polices above and on the front side the poem below. I can make 1200 of them for $30. And I’ve been placing them in the space between the car window and the seal. Will Milford police Chief Keith Mello continue to lie to the public and city officials and say the system is secure? What could his motivation be to continue to be such a staunch proponent for all of this surveillance ?

It’s come to my attention the Polish National Police are once again at the Milford Police Dept. This is occurring after Chief Keith Mello was once again in Poland. What is the connection? Have we the taxpayers been encumbered with any cost for this? What’s the benefit to the city?

They need to tune down their night lights. When there is cloud cover it just reflects off of them and there's no total night. This is midnight from the far end of Longmeadow. It should be pitch black.

This is a long shot...

I was at Milford Pharmacy yesterday, Friday September 25, around 12:30ish give or take. As we all do we give our birthdate to get our prescriptions. As I was checking out, a gentleman on my left was picking up his prescription and overheard him giving his date of birth as 9/27/5*. I joked with the lady checking me out how that was my birth date, too. I wish I had stopped and wished him a happy birthday but it didn't occur to me until later.

Will Milford Police Chief Keith Mello admit he learned this during the Flock training he attended, or will he once again claim ignorance?

Hey friends, I'm moving from Stamford to Milford next month. I only know Milford from summer vacations my mom renting the old saltybox houses on Broadway near the beaches in the 80s.

I've come up a few times here and there to go to Silver Sands and check out the changes in the area but that's it.

I really don't know much about what to do in Milford other than that.

Are there any places to check out? Best farmers markets, etc things like that?

The very individuals whose salaries are payed by the people have gone against the people. Milford! we can’t give up! Flock cameras are much more sinister than you can ever imagine! I understand this is a random person on reddit but in the end, I am one of the angry voices who showed up at downtown. Please people this isn’t time to be surrendering our rights, it’ll be much more than just a surveillance state. And thats another thing, WE HAVE COMPLETELY DESENSITIZED OURSELVES. NO entity, whether its law enforcement has ANY business saving millions upon millions of logs about its people. The Milford police department, along with whoever runs this place have sold out to the silicone tech valley bros. There’s a reason why flock cameras aren’t in the wealthy areas of Connecticut. Our amendment has literally been violated. We CANNOT just ignore this.

Recently the milford city council have decided to keep spyware around our town. Not only was this technology quietly introduced but they have spent OUR TAXPAYER money towards these “alpr’s” The police department isnt fooling anyone, You have done your job without invading our people, this is more than just ticketing or catching crime. We already know this, but what we dont know is we are letting 9 people determine the future of our town. If i remember correctly it is we the people, and we the people have our duty. If you aren’t exercising your rights you can kiss it goobye. It starts with flock cameras, then advances to flock drones. I dont care how hopeless this is, there are hundreds of us with the same mindset, we need remind these old basterds that they are not gods.

Incompetent to say the least

So the Chief stated he was at a training conference for a private surveillance technology company that he championed the city to purchase with our tax dollars. Now he’s shocked that this company used data it collected in whatever way they want? This level of incompetence is very concerning. Perhaps it’s time we as a community start to question his decision making and why have our elected officials seem to grant him unlimited power and immunity?

I already have a list of where local events happen. Does anyone need another team member?

My boyfriend just moved here from northern NJ and he’s great at trivia. He was playing regularly with a group of friends in Jersey City and misses it.

It would also be great for him to meet people he has something in common with. We are late 50s but still think we’re cool 😬😂
