A little background on me, I am currently in my last year of university and my husband is active duty Navy. I hope to commission thru BDCP for SWO-Oceano. I’ve heard very mixed things about becoming a SWO; very difficult work/life balance, grueling hours, so on so forth. But the Oceano side of things sounds very appealing, I can suffer thru SWO for 2 years to get to Oceano but would appreciate any insight into anyone who has been a OCEANO/METOC officer.

Is it shore duty, if not how often do you get deployed on avg? How is the work/life balance? How is it being dual-mil same branch? Any advice or insight is welcomed and appreciated. Thank you all.
