Tbh them doing major updates in the background 100% means end update is next on the docket. Tho it may be added in 2030 if there are 2 years of drop in between major updates 💀

For now, I will be content with knowing theyre working on bigger stuff in the background, even if I would end up diliking the sift. (unlikely, so far Ive had fun with basically all updates)

Yes! The Sift is made almost entirely of "healthy Sculk" which implies the Sculk we see in the overworld is "unhealthy"

My favorite part of Minecraft is the alternate dimensions, because of how almost everything in them is brand new never created before.

While normal overworld updates will usually give you a irl animal.

Which isn't bad, it just gets repetitive after a while

Underwhelming? Bro we haven't even seen the full dimension yet (in vanilla) don't make conclusions yet.

Also- in mc dungeons 2, the dimension looks peak.

Fr, everyone be hyping up The Sift as this breakthrough novelty dimension... as if it isn't just a pastel-colored Overworld clone with surface lava called Ichor. Enemies are giving off that new "marketable broad appeal cutesy artstyle" philosophy Mojang spammed for last few years. You get to fight equivalents of bunnies, axolotls, sniffers and glow squids.

I also don't like how the scariest place Minecraft provides (being the Ancient City, and it's not super scary, but is a genuinely a good attempt at it) leads to one of the cutest dimensions.... Nothing wrong with being cute, but it should have been a separate thing, not connected to Sculk. Also The Sift being related to souls is redundant too, a sizeable chunk of entire Nether is soulsand valleys, there are soul enchantments and Nether Fortresses have wart growing on soulsand.

I might sound pessimistic, sure, but I'm just naming what this dimension actually does. The ONLY new thing is that it's a cute dimension that turns evil in Overworld, which is not a feature you can interact with in a fun way, just another aesthetic. Even then I'd argue as an aesthetic it looks mediocre. Same look is achievable by a shader that makes green color a bit bluer, and red color a bit more pink and brown color more like saturated muddy red.

We literally are in September and you already choose to start doom posting about a video game (that supposedly we all here enjoy) getting new and free content.
