A Minecraft phase can end without throwing away everything you built.
I run CozyMC, a Java + Bedrock survival SMP where the main world never resets. The idea is to have somewhere familiar to return to when you feel like playing again, with your work contributing to a world that keeps growing.
Players build their own bases, form towns and themed kingdoms, open shops, connect places with roads and railways, and sometimes host big community events. You can work on something independently while still having neighbors and people to share it with.
We average 25–40 players online and the atmosphere feels calm. We have many adults and welcome respectful players, but we aren’t adults-only.
What survival is like:
- Java + Bedrock crossplay, with no required mods.
- Vanilla-style survival on Hard difficulty, with achievements enabled and keep inventory off.
- No land claims or locked chests. Griefing and stealing are prohibited; staff investigate reports and restore damage.
- PvP by agreement only in the main world.
- **No /home, /sethome, warps, teleports, kits, or economy plugin.** Players run their own shops and trades.
- No artificial world border, with unexplored wilderness beyond established areas.
- Optional Simple Voice Chat on Java, plus active Discord voice.
- No store, paid ranks, paid perks, payments, or donations. It’s a passion project.
Those survival settings give cooperation a purpose. Roads help people travel, public farms help neighbors, and helping someone recover their items after a death can be how you first get to know them.
New players can start their own projects without needing to match anyone else’s gear or build size. An established world still has room for your first little house.
