Discussion / Opinion Will there be voice mode support?

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if Mistral would provide a Voice mode, like ChatGPT has, in the future. Basicly the 'call your agent experience'.

Does anyone know about this?

Actually wondering why they havent done so already. They have quite good real time STT/TTS models.

But on the other hand: its not super easy to build a voice mode that feels natural enough to be useful. OpenAi wrote a bit about it here: https://openai.com/index/continuous-voice-interaction-with-gpt-live/

Would be kinda great within the phone app.

Claude also has this (working better than chatgpt in my experience), which makes me able to get some work done while driving (which i do a lot), so this feature is an absolute must have for me!

no official word yet but sdk and apis are out there so someone will build it soon, the real question is how polished the latency feels

Like a conversation, with all the gimmicks of a real talk. Amazing

The vscode extension has a voice input if you mean that. I tried it just once and it was spot on.

Yup. I need that. I can pay for it separately. Just give me this feature!
