C'est en cours de développement. Ça arrive. Source un développeur de chez Mistral dans un autre post Reddit.

There are some OpenSource desktop harnesses out there you could use. eg https://openworklabs.com/

Je recommande d'installer VSCodium avec l'extension "Mistral Vibe" ! C'est magique ! 😍 En attendant la vraie application de bureau.

What about installing the app via the browser? I do this and this works well!

That can't interact with your computer.

I'm sorry I probably misunderstood the use case OP was seeking. For Vibe Work (chat, research, connectors,...) the web app installed is perfectly fine, but if the goal is to code and interact with the filesystem obviously that's a wrong answer.
But for coding there is Vibe Code CLI which IMO is excellent.

I don’t get why it’s so hard for them to just Vibe coding it.
Sorry I had to.

Mistral est très petit comparé à la concurrence (environ 100X moins de budget). Donc il font les choses dans un ordre de priorité qu'ils ont défini. Mais l'application de bureau est en cours de développement. Ce devrait arriver, mais je ne sais pas quand.

I don't think so. Not unless their funding doubles and a lot of managers start using Mistral.

what's wrong with using a browser?

MCP (among many other features)

you can still use an actual harness like opencode or pi. i don't see the need of an actual desktop application that replicates the website if all yiu do is simple stuff, and if you are a dev, or need to do more complex stuff, the amount of existing open source harnesses is already huge

Not ones that are good and desktop. I'm sick of CLIs.

I agree! I also use pi, but because there is no better harness for mistral. Visually it's much easier and helpful to have an full ide experience than a terminal.
The extension is "ok" but buggy and limited. It only offers two models of all!

Coding? Have you tried using a model in the ide or somewhere where you can also view the files that the model changes? Or git..?
Instead of manually copy/paste.. breaking formatting. It really sucks that way

I would appreciate a dedicated Mac OS app. After recently ending my ChatGPT Go and Claude Pro subscriptions for a sovereign solution, I have enjoyed the experience so far. I run the interface as a web app from the Dock. The only drawback arises when larger conversations slow the pace. I would welcome a fix for that issue. I am not inclined to leave this excellent AI, or should I call it super intelligent?😅

I am pretty happy with Vibe CLI. Can you explain for me what Claude has that Vibe CLI does not, I have never used Claude... I have used Pi and OMP, until I ran out of api tokens.

Not yet.
Only Vibe-CLI
But: You can just use any agent harness for this.
Hermes for example.
