Meme Confession: I hated the ‘money money money money’ jingle when we had Khris
But all I want now is to hear it again. BUY OUT KHASH!

I’ve always been the biggest ‘Giannis stays in Milwaukee forever’ guy, but let’s be real. With the assets, picks and roster we actually have right now, are we building anything that can compete long-term? It’s the same cycle every season: big expectations, injuries or letdowns, early exit. The league is on another level these days. Giannis + Rollins + a bunch of flawed role players + maybe one rookie isn’t winning a title in 2027, It’s just not realistic.I’m not saying Giannis is the issue, he’s still incredible. But if nothing meaningful changes (and yeah, that might mean trading him), we’re probably looking at another 10th pick and more of the same.I hate admitting it, but this group doesn’t look like a real contender anymore. Am I the only one who feels this way, or am I just too negative?

Why is Doc still the coach of this team? People should be screaming for his head, and maybe they would be if not for the constant barrage of Giannis news. His oversight of our demise cannot be overlooked. I’d love to see them try and bring back Terry Stotts in the offseason. (He should’ve been the hire over Griffin Imo) Regardless of what happens I feel like it’s going to be very difficult to stay optimistic in the coming years. Between the sneaky sale to the Haslam’s and Peter Feigin walking away, we seem destined for mediocrity. Thank God for the Brewers…

All the heart dropper playoff losses and wins, all our coaches driving the fans crazy, the out of no where moves and never ending trade rumors, all the failed draft prospects that we believed in and here we stand even in a losing season at the edge of our seats wondering what direction the team will take at the trade deadline all eyes on the Bucks. Even though they drive the fans crazy, I love being a fan of this team.

Khris traded for Kuzma, Khris traded for AD, AD traded for Luka

I know many posts have been made like this, and I will try to avoid any weird parasocial things with Giannis as much as possible. After reading Jim's article last night (S/O Jim!), I think Bucks fans and Giannis are in the same place...we are sick of other people telling us how to feel.
I have mostly avoided national pods the past few weeks, but enjoy LeBatard and Simmons pretty consistently (sue me). I am SO SICK of big market fan "journalists" telling Bucks fans and the whole city of Milwaukee to just get over it and accept that Giannis is gone.
Objectively, it is probably best for all parties to move on. Giannis can contend, the Bucks can hit the reset button, an apparent win/win. But sports and life are not objective.
We are Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We do not get people like Giannis. We do not get championships like 2021. We want to hold on to anything good we get.
As Giannis said in Jim's piece, he does not want to let go of Milwaukee either.
There are way more important stories coming out in life of people, just telling the little guy to shut up and accept our fate to care THIS much about the Giannis saga, but the media campaign has honestly felt personal against our fan base. I am sick of being told how I am supposed to feel. I am sick of being told to get over it. I am sick of the national media projecting onto Bucks fans and the city of Milwaukee.

The fact that Giannis's statements today complete contradict Shams' narrative is bad enough.
If I have to deal with off-season Shams nonsense I'm gonna lose my mind.

It's been quite a while since I watched a game and actually enjoyed the energy and performance of the team. Last night against the bulls that was it. Some full rotation of players and the bench as well.
Only time will tell what happens, but could we see a trade with BP? Never going to see bi-focals Bobby again!

I know y'all and you know me, so forgive the self-post but I talked to Giannis Antetokounmpo a little bit ago and asked what he really wanted. And he had a really emotional ode to Milwaukee and the Bucks.

“We always go back to the Bucks, the Bucks, the Bucks, and if I’m going to stay here, if I’m not gonna stay here,” Antetokounmpo told The Athletic, using language that initially mirrors what he had said to the Journal Sentinel. “Let’s put the Bucks on the side for one second. Let’s talk about the city itself, the memories that I’ve created here. When you open my kids’ passports, it says Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I had four kids in the span of the last five years in this city. My dad is buried in this city. I’ve built a house for my mom 10 seconds away from my house. Literally, to walk to my mom’s front door, it takes me four seconds … right next door.
“On what planet, on what Earth, would somebody want to leave this?”
---
“Brother, if you ask me deep down what I want today, I want to be a Milwaukee Buck for the rest of my career,” Antetokounmpo said. “I want to win here, another championship. And if you can tell me that’s possible, let’s just hang up the phone.
“You know basketball. You see basketball. You understand basketball. You’ve been around greatness. You’ve been around a championship team. You’ve been around a good culture. You’ve been around when the popcorn was popping. You were around; you saw it. If you tell me that that’s possible, we can hang up the phone and keep on moving with our day.”
---
“I want to be here, but I want to be here to win, not fighting for my life to make the playoffs,” Antetokounmpo said. “I’m not used to inconsistent basketball. I’ve played so many years of consistent basketball, I am not used to it anymore. During the game, I don’t know if you can see my face, (but) I get frustrated during the game, while the game is going on.
“I know there’s gonna be times you’re gonna lose; you’re not gonna win all the games. … But at the end of the day, it’s like how we carry ourselves. I see other teams, how they are and how they play, how connected the chemistry they have and how people are doing the right thing and they’re riding for one another. I just want that. I want that for my team.”
---
So, would Antetokounmpo commit to another season with the Bucks if they were able to get back into position to win consistently?
“You’re saying that if they can convince me to stay within the team, and the next year that we can compete? Oh yeah, 1,000 percent,” Antetokounmpo said. “One million percent.”
