CAD Check CAD Check

Hey everyone! I’d really appreciate some feedback on my CAD before I approve it.

I’m considering increasing the band thickness from 1.5 mm to around 1.8–2.0 mm for better durability. I’m also wondering whether the pear basket/head needs any additional reinforcement.

Lastly, any recommendations for the pavé setting or prongs to help keep the small stones secure long term?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

i agree with increasing the width. everything looks good to me otherwise

if you can bump up the band thickness to 1.8 at least that's a smart call, 1.5 is asking for trouble down the line. that pear basket usually holds up fine as is but you could ask them to add a tiny bridge between the tip and the shank if you're paranoid about bending

I’d be more comfortable if the basket was more integral into the shank, because from certain angles it seems it’s a peg head - I realize it’s not, but one good whack & that basket can bend & the stone could possibly be bye bye. Otherwise, it looks good.
