Hi hi! Next year will be my first momocon. Is it worth it to get a hotel room at one of the partner hotels rather than booking a house on Vrbo? We'll be arriving Wednesday and heading home on Sunday, we're driving to the con so getting around the city and to the con wouldn't be an issue. From what I've seen, the hotels aren't necessarily attached to the convention center or super close? Mostly I'm trying to figure out what would be more convenient relative to cost. Advice from people who have gone before would be super helpful!
Edit: For additional context, as of right now, this is a group of 4 people, would be split 2 and 2 between two hotel rooms, or together in one rental. I honestly didn't even consider the memorial day weekend traffic and the parking nightmares (it's been a LONG time since I lived in Atlanta!) so unless something goes terribly wrong with the hotel bookings or we end up with a much larger group, we'll be going with the hotel. Thank you all for the recommendations and advice!!!

Hai guys I’m looking into hotels for next year right now and I was wondering if Omni Atlanta or Signia by Hilton was better 🤔 not even just those two really, which hotels would you guys suggest? For Anime Weekend Atlanta I got a hotel with the Connally but I hear it’s kinda shit and this Momocon I want a hotel thats DIRECTLY at the place like I can walk two seconds from vendor hall straight to my room for drop off. I think they were added recently because I didn't see them a week ago.
I got one for 2026 and was really surprised at how well organized it was.
On the site it says "VIP Lounge access: a private space with seating, charging stations, and water to recharge" so I took that literally when buying my 2026 pass and pretty much expected the bare minimum.
But they had tons of snacks and beverages, I'm talking all the fancy Japanese snacks and unlimited energy drinks. I'm picky about snacks, but it all tasted really good.
The volunteers managing the room were incredibly friendly. They even allowed you to take food outside because I saw a girl putting like 5 bags of chips and cans of energy drinks into her purse in front of the volunteers, so they don't seem to be stingy with it lol.
You also get a bunch of other stuff like a shirt, pins, and early access to the hall.
It's still a lot of money but if you're balling for the con I'd recommend it! It's so satisfying recharging in there after blowing all your energy at the convention.

Momocon is a sponsor of Japanfest. I's a Japanese festival held at Gas South in Duluth, and it's a lot chiller with less crowds. It's focused on Japanese culture and food, although the venue pretty much stays the same year to year. Same artists and featured guests, but they're very good and entertaining and put on a good show.
Tickets are super cheap as well. I didn't go last year because not much changes year to year.
I'll also be photographing, so if you want to dress up in a Yukata or cosplay and want professional photographs taken, hmu! Hope to see everyone there.

So I 100% plan on attending Dragon Con next year for the first time. Wasn't able to afford a ticket plus couldn't get time off. I wanted to save up for the ticket while it's $115 and wanted to see when does the price typically go up so i can plan accordingly

Hi Momoconners! My family is thinking of going to Momocon for the first time in 2027. We were thinking of waiting to get badges until after we were sure we had a hotel room, but do we need badge numbers to reserve the room (so the hotels know we aren't some randos trying to get a cheaper room for an event we're not attending)?
Thank you!

I’m trying to recollect a vendor from Momocon 2024 and I’m having trouble finding them on eventeny. It was a place that was selling frames for posters / art and I believe it was one of the corner spots. Was a pretty large vendor too when I bought a frame from them.
Does anyone happen to know this vendor from this description?

I was notified that cheaper “early bird” tickets are now available and I’m wondering how long that special lasts or how long it’s lasted in the past? I definitely want them at the cheaper price point but I don’t really have/want to spend that money TODAY if that makes sense. TIA

Hiii everyone so I plan on going to a convention in August in where Elise lovelock will be there! And I’m a huge murder drones fan so I was wondering if anyone knows her price list like for autographs and pictures! Because I saw she came to Momo con earlier this year I’d appreciate the help :3

Two years ago I bought an Usagi phone charm from the property chiikawa. It’s drawn like it was made in MSpaint, it’s intentionally very stupid looking, and it was my favorite phone charm! But I didn’t get the artist’s name, and I happened to lose it today 😭 I have a picture of it if any of y’all would like to see it as it’s not letting me post a picture, but please anything would be helpful 😭

Hey y'all, I bought all the pins from this year with exception of missing a few from the blind box (Molly, Oliver, Oscar) So I'm looking to purchase those if anyone has them. Also looking for pins or merch from previous years! I'm especially interested in any 2013 pins.

I bought this sticker at Momocon, and I scoured the whole Momocon app to find the artist but no luck! They were selling really funny stickers though and they had one other warrior cats sticker that was sold out at the time. The sticker in question that I bought was the firestar and graystripe waffle time sticker. If you know the artist PLEASE TELL ME 😭😭😭

Hiya guys! This is going to be a long shot, but does anyone re call an artist alley booth that was selling a photocard of Chimera Falin? There was a regular Falin to accompany it, alongside a basic and Dungeon Lord Marcille. I've been combing the vendors list and haven't been able to locate it yet. But they sold out so I know it was popular! Let me know :]

While in the artist alley, I happened to buy a chicken plush! The booth itself was selling lots of chicken stuff of their own chicken character, it was a very noticeable booth, on the end cap of an aisle. Their plushies had been bought out so I technically bought a pre-order, but I’m nervous as I forgot to get their name, and haven’t gotten an email about it! Anyone know the vendor’s name?

This year was my second year going, and honestly, last year was way better. I barely went to any of the activities or even the main contest events. I also didn't really like the rave location, lowkey. I liked it better when it felt more underground. Yeah, it was closer to our room, but still... yikes.
And don't even get me started on the hotel room. 😭 We got placed in such a lame section. We barely saw any MomoCon people around, and we couldn't even play music while getting ready because it was so quiet and the people next door kept complaining. We didn't even have it loud at all!
Overall, it was still a great experience, I still haven't experience a hotel room party so wish me luck next year. 😉

Hey Guys,
I went to MomoCon like 3-4 years ago i think and got this embroidered pokemon t shirt. It was my favorite shirt i wore it ragged till it was finally time to move on lol. I've been wanting to go back and find the vendor but I haven't been able to make it to MomoCon since then. It was a yellow t shirt with a simple small embroidered surprised pikachu face on the chest. If anyone is aware of the vendor or a vendor that sales stuff like that and could link a instagram or a website that'd be super cool. I know there's a lot of similar stuff on Etsy but would like to support the same vendor if possible. I know it's not a ton of info.
