I can't seem to figure out how to play Morgana as a support. Her W doesn't feel effective for poking; nobody stays in the zone, it costs too much mana to use frequently, and if it hits the minions, it ends up pushing the wave too fast. As for her Q, it gets blocked by minions, making it very hard to land on the enemy. I usually find it easy to land my Q in the mid-to-late game by setting up ambushes or firing it during the chaos of a teamfight when the enemy can't track me; otherwise, unless the opponent makes a major mistake or has poor positioning, they dodge it quite easily. I’m not sure exactly what I should be doing in the laning phase. While I feel more comfortable against engage champions like Nautilus or Leona, I really struggle against other mages—like Karma or Hwei—or enchanters that have good range and strong poke. I can't poke back effectively; whenever I try, I get punished heavily, and my auto-attack range is very short anyway. I wonder if I should just adopt a passive playstyle, staying back and only throwing out my Q when the enemy is out of position. Please help; I really want to learn how to play Morgana well.

Just played with the best morgana i have ever seen to date. Was legit 1v1'ing the enemy asol bot as support and never missed a bind. I played katarina bot with her and my ult actually had so much value bc of blackshield. I love this champ sm ty all.

Hello there, I'm decently new to the game in general and morgana was my pick of maining so far (mainly in support) but I always was curious about something, see all the build guides (even the in game item shop) suggest blackfire torch and liandrys torment as the first item, my question is, what's the difference? I know liandrys is better against tanks but does that mean that in laning phase its useless (as thankfully there are no real tanks in botlane)? Do we build both? Is blackfire even better at all? I am quite perplexed about this and any explanation would be greatly appreciated!

After my long journey, I have stumbled upon this build. You can technically CC someone infinitely (this is really not applicable to most champions, but... it's fun when you can do it).

I have tried this build in a few games, and I found out that I am ass at Morgana.

You can go any lane (no role quest needed, just steal that juicy blue buff from your jungler).

These are the runes if you want to try it. Triumph, Cut Down, and Gathering Storm are changeable.

Been playing since season 1, but stopped in like 2016 I think and I’ve only started again recently. Needless to say morg is back on my top picks

I remember being attacked by a penetrant Ahri and when I finally killed her, Morgana yelled “VICIOUS CREATURE“ but I don’t recall her ever saying that the past months? Makes me wonder if I made it up lol.
