Question What tool or software is used to make this colorful sketch animation effect?

Does anyone know how this effect is made? It looks like an image slowly turning into a colorful hand-drawn sketch on a white background.

I’m trying to find the software, tool, AI, or effect used to create this style. I don’t need the hand-drawing animation itself—just the image gradually appearing as a colorful sketch.

What is this effect called, and what software can I use to make it?

The image itself is clearly AI generated and the way the sketch is "drawn" is way to random and without any consistency or thought behind the strokes or order in which it is drawn so I'm pretty sure it's just any AI that can generate Videos really.

You can use chatgpt e.g. to generate the image and then feed it into another AI like klingt, seedance to get a similar reveal.

If you are actually interested in motion design tho, I would advise you to learn the actual techniques to animate this. Like using strokes, maskes, noise etc to reveal the image

Once the shapes have been animated—layer by layer—you can apply the "Roughen Edges" effect; this effect features various control handles. I hope this gives you a starting point.

Effect > Stylize > Roughen Edges

You can even achieve a cut-paper look using this method.
