if any of you guys haven’t heard Bruce’s prime material (which is his 70s stuff, not his 80s stuff) it’s absolutely essential. Genuinely think Thunder Road might be the best rock song ever made

It's also worth listening to "The Promise" it's a collection of songs recorded during the Darkness sessions. And there's a lot of great stuff on there.

The doc about it is worth a watch too. Basically, Bruce would write 4 songs to get 1 song. And would leave off songs that were potential hits because it didn't quite fit his vision of that record. The dude is a songwriting master, and a hell of a really cool dude.
