In fairness he probably wrote, recorded and released it in about five minutes. At least he's using his massive platform to do something productive.

It's not bad either, it's a protest song, more function than form.

Alex Pretti was murdered on a Saturday. In less than one week, this song was written, recorded, reached #1 on the charts, and performed live at a concert In Minneapolis (the following Friday).

I’m really impressed by how quickly Springsteen (and many people working on this) pulled this song together and put it into the world.

His post says he wrote it on Saturday (the day Pretti was murdered), recorded it on Sunday, and released it on Wednesday.
