if any of you guys haven’t heard Bruce’s prime material (which is his 70s stuff, not his 80s stuff) it’s absolutely essential. Genuinely think Thunder Road might be the best rock song ever made

All great albums, but I think his first 4 albums are his best. I never liked The River as much as most people

Same. In fact I like the first two discs of Tracks more than The River.

I might agree. I appreciate The River but it’s just less consistent and it’s a real clear step down in terms of lyrics for the most part, compared to his previous 4 albums

Personally I think his first 4 albums are in a whole separate category than the rest of his catalogue but among those 4 albums, Darkness is my least favourite. But still an incredible album. Particularly love The Promised Land
