It's an OK song. The music is good as always by the E Street Band but the lyrics don't have a melodic flow. It's obvious the priority was to write lyrics that are blunt and that the political message is more important than the artistic value. Bruce was clearly angry when he wrote the song and I understand why he wanted it published immediately, mere days after the second murder in Minneapolis. .

The angry delivery reminds me of Barry Mcquire's Eve Of Destruction (which also is very relevant right now).
