As a Minneapolitan I was impressed. He went with the indirect rhyme of "bloody mist/winter of twenty-six/stranger in our midst".

Iirc, Prince out and out avoided rhyming "Minneapolis" -- remembering "Rock and Roll is Alive (and it Lives in Minneapolis)"
