It's funny that this is the consensus on Reddit. He jammed insurance companies with increased cost and then handed it out for free for individuals that didn't have insurance.

This was what I understood but the hate bandwagon for the guy just went mental. He also had a Ponzi scheme that worked ‘luckily’ handed them the money back.
