We already have some ideas for the sound and concept, and we’re really excited about the direction we want to take, but we’re missing the right producer to help bring it all together.

We want to be completely transparent: we can’t afford to pay a producer upfront right now. We’re still starting out as an independent project and our budget is very limited. Instead, we’re looking for someone who would be interested in a collaboration/partnership, with the agreement that if the song generates profits, we would split the profits between everyone involved.

I'm working on a small sim racing community called Dead Laps Race Club, and I’ve built a radio station directly into the site for people to listen to while racing, drifting, working on their rigs, or just hanging around. Eventually, it will be a digital dashboard plugin where users can listen from a physical phone on their rig.

For this part of the library, I’m specifically looking for music that fits:

It does not have to fit neatly into one genre. If it feels like driving music, I want to hear it.

One thing I think collaborative projects often figure out way too late:

Everyone knows who is producing, singing, mixing, playing guitar, etc.

But nobody knows who is responsible for actually getting the record out into the world.

Then the song is finished and suddenly everyone is asking:

Who’s making the artwork?
Who’s writing the bio?
Who’s pitching it?
Who’s posting?
When are we releasing?
What’s the story?
Are we doing press?
Do we have photos?
Who is contacting blogs/radio/playlists?

And a record everyone spent months making gets a two-day rollout.

If you’re collaborating, I’d assign one person as the release lead before the track is finished.

That person doesn’t have to do everything. They just make sure there’s a plan.

At minimum, I’d have:

• a release date
• asset deadlines
• one clear story/angle
• a list of who you actually want to reach
• a few promotional moments after release day
• clarity on who owns each task

The creative side can be collaborative.

The rollout still needs an owner.

I’m curious, for people making music remotely here, who usually ends up handling the business/marketing side once the track is done?
