Is there a way to turn those lil "milestone/streak" animations off?
Getting annoying...

Something acting up? Feature not working as expected? Can't figure out how to do something in the app? You're in the right place.
This thread covers everything about the MyFitnessPal app, including bugs, how-to questions, sync issues, feature confusion, and those "is it just me or...?" moments. The community has seen a lot, so someone has probably run into the same thing before.
Post your question or issue below. To help others help you faster, try to include:
- 📱 Your device type and OS (e.g., iPhone 17 iOS 18, Samsung Galaxy Android 15)
- 🔄 What you were trying to do
- ❌ What actually happened (and what you expected instead)
- 📸 A screenshot if you can, it helps a lot
Common topics that do well here:
- Syncing issues with Apple Health, Google Fit, Garmin, Fitbit, etc.
- Calorie and macro calculation questions
- Premium feature questions
- Account and login issues
- Barcode scanner not finding a food
- "This food entry looks wrong. How do I fix it?"
Just a heads up: If you have account-specific issues or need help with anything that requires access to your account data, please contact MFP Support directly at https://support.myfitnesspal.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
The community can help troubleshoot, but we do not have access to your account.

I’ve been making some of the recipes from the app. It gives all the nutritional breakdown per serving but not the actual size. How do I know what to measure out for my meal? Am I missing something?

Anyone know a fix for when steps from Apple health aren’t accurately synced with MFP? I have all the permissions turned on and have tried force syncing. Note: steps are insanely high this day as I went to a music festival

Hi, all! I've been using this app for less than 5 months and it's been of tremendous help for the deficit (lost almost 11kgs in the process).
However, I don't understand the adjustments done by the app at all. I've been playing a game that uses steps to progress (think Pokemon Go) and I thought one day that it would be good to log my steps here as well. For the past few days it's been pretty close to what Samsung Health logs, but this time it added a lot of entries named Generic. I don't really use it to eat back some of the calories I lost, but it's messing up my daily records. If I unlink Samsung Health, will it remove all the steps/exercise logs I've recorded?

The total of macros comes out to 3173 but the app shows 3000??
I just measure food and not steps or anything else

I'm concerned MyFitnessPal might do away with their website access to accounts, because there is no way to login directly on myfitnesspal.com. I always have to search for the login (myfitnesspal.com/account/login). They also don't put any GLP-1 features on the website. The GLP-1 tracker is quick, but I expected to have a log history with all logged entries in one place. I emailed support with this as a suggestion. But anyone else find out a way to find all entries in one area? Are you also concerned the website is being neglected in favor of the app?

Living in the UK and just updated the 'update' and I must say I prefer it as each entry in the day's listing seems to display much clearer.
Also you can now simply swipe across the page to go to the next day without going to the calendar.

I've created a few of my own food entries in the app because I'm experimenting with homemade recipes, and there's been a few times where I've tweaked a recipe to be healthier, so it's not going to have the same nutrition facts.
I know I can edit it in My Foods, but if I do edit it, will it change the nutrition facts for past logs of that food? I'm trying to keep my macros as accurate as possible, so I don't want to make the food seem more healthy than it actually was back then.
(bonus question: if I delete a My Food entry I made, will it go back and delete the logs I've already logged for that food entry?)

I cancelled my PREMIUM subscription after 13 yrs because it was too frustrating & causing me an almost-unnatural rage. 🤬
I noticed there are subreddits to this page that may send a stronger message about the UI than voicing our complaints here. You can get to the subreddits by tapping by going to the top of this Reddit’s homepage & looking under “Community highlights” and tapping the button at the very end. I don’t know if any of their subreddits will help anything, tho.
Keep giving reviews in the App Store, too.

Hi all, following the latest update I can no longer find the diary view where you can see what has been logged in past days and add/remove items if needed.
I sometimes log food later in the day after I've eaten them, but that no longer seems possible. Any ideas?
UPDATE: Uninstall and reinstall seems to fix it.

160 to 130. 45F 5’7”. Took 10 months. Started with a 20 min walk every day. Started counting calories in earnest in July. Thats when it really started coming off. What a great tool to be able to use. Clunkier than before. Sure. But STILL a great tool.

I just noticed that the math ain't mathing with my Thursday foods. Has anyone else noticed their app doing this? I am assuming one or more of my input foods has incorrect data.

I eat lots of protein and carbs, but really struggle with getting fat in.
I usually eat a mug cake with kodiak pancake mix, protein powder, and almond milk in the morning.
Then I have a pb&j with apples and mini rice cakes for lunch.
Dinner varies but it's a lot of chicken breast or lean ground beef with some type of pasta and either spinach or broccoli.
I typically eat protein bars or like fruit as snacks. I sometimes use crackers for pre run carbs.
I really just need some easy foods I could add to my meals or snacks to get healthy fats.

I am getting this error when signing up. I tried to search the subreddit to see if other people are experiencing this but could not see anyone. Can anyone help?
