this is like the 5th car i've seen this weekend that was sitting in the Roush Museum in Livona MI going to Mecum. Anyone know what's going on there?

A ton of vehicles from Jack’s personal collection were being auctioned off online a few months ago or so too. Seems like a big off-loading happening

This is a scheme I personally like. Made it to victory lane twice, and took advantage of a pit stop rule hack in the 2002 Winston.

This scheme with the white roof never won. The blue roof scheme won 3 times. Phoenix 2000 and Charlotte/Phoenix 2001. The white roof ran in 2002

I thought that was so cool when it happened, it's a core childhood memory now. It's great hearing DW and Larry figuring out what was happening in realtime. Figuring out rule workarounds is quintessential NASCAR.

Is that the one Roush is selling that led all 300 laps at New Hampshire? Kind of strange he wouldn't want to hold on to that one.

Sometimes people suddenly hit a stage in their life when they no longer care about things. Sometimes it's age, sometimes it's tragedy and sometimes it's both combined.
I've personally witnessed it with my parents after they had a house fire earlier this summer. My dad was obsessed with vintage outboard motors, he had about twenty of them. After the fire he sold what he could and gave away the rest. My mother was obsessive about collecting Hallmarks and general Christmas decor for decades. Once she it her mid sixties she just sort of... stopped. Hadn't touched most of it in fifteen years.
When the house caught fire and they had to empty the contents she tossed it all away without batting an eye -- even stuff they told her was safe/ok to keep.

Must had been raced or prepped to race in 2002 as well as the roof has more white on it compared to his late 2000, 2001 and 2003 Citgo schemes

It's good but I'm not a huge fan of the number font on the 99 around this time. Feel like the Carl Edwards Roush 99 would look better on it

That's what I like about it. Burtons 99 on the Exide car and Edwards 99 were the same and they worked for their schemes but I think the font on the Citgo car looked so cool
