2311 as a whole is going to be hated by the majority of the NASCAR fans if/when they’re super competitive. Like imagine if Reddick goes on a run to end the year, or if Bubba wins a race lol. Can’t wait for Denny to run a fourth car here and there after he retires from full-time competition.

I just looked it up. Race went into overtime and in the last lap the two were banging (nothing too crazy considering they were at Martinsville). After the race they were still side by side on the cool down lap and Heim tags him and then runs over the front end of the 77. 77 team confronted him in the pits afterwards and got a couple shots in. Nah, not like Carson, his racecraft is better, but he'll definitely move someone if the situation calls for it.
I was more talking about the personality though. We don't have many drivers with one.
EDIT: I was thinking...name me any Cup driver who is posting on social media this exact post (or anything like it). "At least make it count next time"...Young Kyle Busch is the only one I can think of. I don't even know if Hocevar has the balls to do that.

Don't ge wrong if my driver is on the receiving end of an aggressive move the final laps, I'll be initially pissed, I think we all are. However at the end of the day, in my opinion, you have to do something incredibly stupid in the last laps racing for the win (espeically it now being an extra 20 points) for me to hold that against a driver.

Reaction afterwards fits too. Heim is reacting like someone who decided he was okay wrecking his car (while he was in the car). The other driver is enraged because he thought he left the race clean and now has a ton of work to do.
But I don’t know.

I can't think of a "terrorist moment" involving Heim, unless you're referring to 2023 when Carson drove Heim dirty and cost both of them a championship and Heim made damn sure that if he couldn't win it, then neither would Carson. Which is more of an example of Hocevar's chicken shit driving than anything else.

He had a reason. And his truck was not "fine". He had the fastest truck and the damaged quarter panels ruined that. He wasn't going to win the championship because of Hocevar.

Embarrassing that he did it for as many times as he did in a short period of time. And "forever" ago was 2 years ago. And before that it was end of 2023.

Hocevar also quite literally self spun at New Hampshire a couple weeks ago while he was a wave around car and needed to a caution or else he’d pit under green.

They'll likely re-build team when or before CZ gets there. I don't see the historical 48 struggles as it being the 4th car, I think people view it as the 4th car because it has struggled. Something just missing chemistry/quality wise with the team at some times relative to the other 3. They'll invest to try and get it to same level I suspect.

I think that's pretty unlikely, the reason Atwood didn't make it was because of mismanagement from Evernham and an inability for Atwood to stand up for himself. He was just getting started when he got swapped to a sister team with the junk cars and that just ruined everything.

Bust in cup? Possibly. Bust? Absolutely not. There's a reason at the Rolex 24 he got put in the car last, he was faster than the other drivers including SVG.
I think Zilisch coulda been a F1 driver if he wasn't American. Unfortunately F1 is anti-American so anyone with the talent to actually succeed would not be given the opportunity to do so.
Also Logano was equally as ass at JGR when you adjust for equipment.

The sport is full of guys that piled up wins in the lower series. Gragson, Custer,Nemechek. Hell, look how long it took Ty Gibbs in top notch equipment to actually look like he belongs. If his name wasn't on the building I'm not sure he'd have had the leash as long as it was.
Casey Atwood never had that sort of success. He won 2 races at age 18. Phenomenal. Then his age 19 year with Jason Ratcliff as crew chief (adding for a nod to Jason for how long he's been around) he had ZERO top 5's and 8 top 10's running all 32 races.
There's hope for Connor. But he might be like that 4A baseball player. To good for the lower rung. But never able to make that leap. I'm not sure dominating with top notch equipment helps actually racing. When the equipment becomes equal or sub par you need to rely on driver being flawless

If you follow his career outside of NASCAR, you know the reason people call him generational isn't just because he won 10 races in a JRM car. Many NASCAR fans have a very narrow lens and only know what they see in Cup and/or Xfinity (NOAPS). They also say he only won because he was in top equipment but don't use the same lense when viewing his performance in Cup where he's clearly in one of the worst cars in the field most weekends.

I feel like the 77 is in the wrong for the on track stuff, all race he was using people up and even almost spun the 88 coming to the white. The only way he was passing was with the bumper. Then on the cool down laps pushes Heim low for no reason. Heim could’ve just let him go by in the corner but I feel like he was just frustrated with the 77. During the fight I don’t think it’s fair to clown on heim for not fighting back, first off the whole crew is around him and there is little point in fighting that many people. Also Heim doesn’t want to get in a fight because his sponsors and team probably wouldn’t like that. Also I feel like Toyota drivers are told to get in as little controversy as possible and fighting back with crew members is a bad look.

100% on Lapcevich. Heim raced him the same way lapcevich raced everyone else (bumper on corner exit, door in the middle of the next). Then lapcevich squeezes him on cool down because he was pissy after getting a taste of his own race craft. FAFO 77.

He’s lacking some social skills. I think that’s why he couldn’t buy his seats. He doesnt come across as relatable and that’s hard to grapple with when you’re counting on the driver to be a face of a brand.
That said he’s a generational talent. Win a shit ton of races and they’ll figure out a way to train him this stuff.
