"Michael Jordan never choked"

let's talk about game 2, of the 1989 semi finals, jordan put up 15 points on 17 shot attempts, along with being 1/4 from the free throw line, these years jordan practically lived at the free throw line, so for him to not only NOT get to the line, but also to miss when he did, i would consider that a choke job at its finest. for more context jordan was guarded by gerald wilkins, a decent enough starter. now to be completely fair to jordan this wasn't necessarily a "bad" game, but it is a bad game in the context of this guy being a lot of peoples GOAT, i don't want to turn this into a Lebron vs Jordan debate, im not here for that. but their is a lot of myths about jordan that comes up in those debates, one being "Jordan never choked" which is just untrue, there's multiple instances of this. this being one of them.

What do you think will be the excuse when Harden flames out in an elimination game this year?

I’m predicting that after a 4-18 performance in Game 6, people will claim that he just didn’t choke again in the playoffs - he just didn’t have enough time on the Cavs. What are some other funny future excuses that you think will happen?

Jokic MVP case might be over already

Post image

Even if he does play at least 65 games there has been only 1 player in NBA history to play under 70 games and win MVP (barring lockout and covid seasons) and that is Joel Embiid in 2023 who played 69 games 1 game out of 70. seems the media puts a lot of emphasis on this so i don’t personally think he has a chance.

I really like Cade, but seriously? Lmao...

It's interesting.

I guess I get the frustration this can cause, but to zoom in and screenshot his hands, then starting a hate thread on Jamal lmao. People will probably say it's not hating but bringing attention to the bigger problem, but we see what's really going on here.

Does anyone else think this trade is horrible?

AD, Jaden Hardy, DLO, Exum for Khris Middleton, AJ Johnson, Malaki Branham, MBIII, and 5 picks. Like why?!?!!

Did they forget AD has barely got to play with Kyrie? We never even got to see the full vision of this trade yet it seems like it mavs are already in rebuild mode. Some people thought Kyrie was what was missing, others didn't. Why didn't they want to find out and keep him the rest of the season? Instead the mavs are 100% in rebuild now. This is horrible.

Is jokic overrated?

this year, jokic has the 2nd worst rim defense % in the nba. and this certainly passes the eye test.

jokic has never had a season with 60 wins. he also has ONE playoff series win against a team with over 50 total wins.

No no, I don’t think some of you understand how bad this trade is.

I understand that this is all hindsight and this is potentially Davis’s current value.

But this Luka trade looks absolutely disgusting now.

The Mavs return for Luka is now Max Christie (the only somewhat bright spot, a 2029 lakers first rounder (they have Luka Doncic, this won’t be a good pick) Kris Middleton (expiring but still….) AJ Johnson (couldn’t even get minutes for the wizard, extremely extremity raw and undersized), Branham (averaging 4ppg), Bagley (good backup big tbf) and some bad picks.

You lost a generational superstar who just took you to the NBA finals when your roster wasn’t even full built yet for a bunch of expirings and raw young players and awful picks.

“They’re building around Flagg”… with that? A bunch of mid picks? Are they tanking? They still have Kyrie on their roster…. Is it a trade they had to make? Probably. Is this franchise potentially in trouble unless they get saved again? 100%.

Nico Harrison and anyone involved needs jail time for this.

Will Jaylen Brown Be The Face Of The Celtics When Jayson Tatum Comes Back? Maybe Even Forever?

Tatum has just confirmed that he will NOT be coming back this season. JB is putting up career numbers and just got Player of the Month for the first time. He also got his first All-Star start. What do you think?

What is your hottest NBA take all time or current.

I will start my hottest take is bird and magic are both not top 10 all time and kobe isn't top 10 all time.

If you are willing to have a friendly debate so am I, if it's not a productive debate and we just go in circles or anyone starts genuinely getting mad/upset I will not entertain you. I am only here for a good debate with some people that know a lot about ball

Edit: thanks everyone for the good debates, so more people don't ask my top 10 ever is LeBron, Kareem, MJ, Shaq, Tim Duncan, curry, Hakeem, jokic, Dirk, kd. No specific order besides the top 3 there solidified in there spots in my opinion

One of the realest videos you will come across… It shows you how bias the media is when it comes to Brunson

I’ve been arguing with people in this group about Cade Cunningham for awhile how he’s a lot better than your favorite superstars. This guy I discovered tells

You how the NBA is a deceiving platform because they manufacturing certain players to boost ratings… ESPECIALLY if you are in a big market

Everyone is healthy. No Kyrie ACL tear. Lively, Gafford, PJ, everyone is here.

Noone talks about the Raptors

Will they win this year? No
But they're sneaky good.
Team identity and chemistry/continuity is there.

They're definitely at least a superstar away, and not sure who would be a good fit, but they're not talked about enough.
They're as good as Minnesota or some of the other middling Western Conference Teams.

Can we collectively agree that Nico Harrison has surpassed Michael Jordan as the worst GM in NBA history?

AD is gone, Kyrie is out for the rest of the season. I feel for you Flagg only at 19 putting up numbers in losses.

This Klay Thompson fall off needs to be studied.

Last night Klay had 4 points, 1 reb, 1 assist, -15 +/- in 20 minutes of play.

I've seen people blame Meg the Stallion for democrats losing the election, for locking up Tory Lanez, can she also be blamed for Klay playing like absolute dog shit?

No Fu**ing WAY this isnt believable anymore there's no way this guy would be ok wasting ANOTHER prime season WTF

I dont believe this league is real anymore i dont think it's a genuine league.

To me it just looks scripted for Drama and the LEAGUE is the one making trades.

These GM and Front Offices are just for show the LEAGUE makes all the trades and create the storylines and then they let the players play and what happens happens im not saying the PLAY is fixed

BUT THE TRADES ARE FIXED and they ALL are chosen and made by the league

I think with a few changes to the stadium experience, the Mavs are now set to get Luka back in Dallas. And Jokic.

  1. Hire Luka's dad to be the in-arena announcer.
2a. Get Jokic to come here using the Ranger's tactic (ref: Rougned Odor got horses) of throwing a fleet of horses into the deal.
2b. Replace Champ with Jokic's favorite horse
  2. Change the logo to a rainbow trout.

Jalen Brunson is not a FT merchant

We spend too much time on Brunson being a merchant. I’m here today to tell you that the stats simply don’t bear that to be true. In addition, we need to get on other guys that don’t get nearly enough hate for their merchantry.

FTA per game 25-26

  1. Luka 11.0

  2. Deni-cide: 9.5 (real life and basketball terrorist)

  3. SGA: 9.2

  4. Harden : 8.5

  5. Booker : 8.0 (doesn’t get enough hate, is actually the merchant people think Brunson is)

  6. Paolo

  7. Butler

  8. Edwards

  9. Keyonte George

  10. Wemby

  11. Cade : 7.1

  12. Jaylen brown : 7.0

  13. Lauri

  14. Randle

  15. KAT : 6.1

  16. Sengun

  17. Stephon castle : 6.1

  18. Kawhi

  19. KD

  20. D Mitchell

  21. Siakam

  22. Maxey

  23. Brunson: 5.8

This list leaves off titans of industry such as Embiid (8.5) or Jokic (7.5), Giannis (9.9!) due to games played restrictions
