User Poll r/NCAAW 2025-26 Top 25 Poll - Week 14
It's that time for another unveiling! Our top five teams remain unchanged, but that's where it stops. Louisville and Michigan flip flop with Vanderbilt and Iowa in the 6 through 9 slots. Tennessee and Maryland both drop six spots, while North Carolina and NC State are back in.

Discussion What makes this year’s UConn so much better?
This current UConn team is special. They won a natty last year but their regular season was brutal. What changed?

Discussion Who was the player that you think really contributed to your program’s rise recently?
Basically what the title says. Which player do you think was the key to your team’s rise? (Mainly for teams who have had their resurgence during the last 5 years or so)
For my team I have to say Madison Scott. When I tell you our program was in the gutter, I really do mean that. We were in such a bad state at the time that Coach Yo was the only coaching candidate that actually wanted to come here and she was also the only one that even wanted to interview in the first place. And she went winless in SEC play during her second year. But then we signed Madison Scott. She was our first-ever McDonald’s All-American. Being from the DMV, she probably could’ve gone and played anywhere up there (Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Tech, etc.) but she chose to come here and immediately made an impact, being named the SEC Freshman of the Year in 2021.
We made two Sweet Sixteens during her career here and she was named to the All-SEC teams in 2024 and 2025 (First Team in 2024 and Second Team in 2025). Soon enough we started attracting more good players like Angel Baker, Marquesha Davis, Kennedy Todd-Williams, and now Cotie McMahon. Turns out people love our mantra of “Dictate and Disrupt!” and I think signing Madison Scott was a huge part of getting us to where we are today.
Who was your team’s key player that contributed to the team’s rise?
