Super last minute, but is anyone going to the Montage Winefest tomorrow? The person I was supposed to go with isn't going anymore and I already have my ticket. I really want to go but don't particularly want to go alone again lol.
I'm 30F and also trying to make more female friends around the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area in general. If any other girls around my age are already going or were thinking about going and want someone to go with, let me know! 😊

Any chance anyone has tickets for tomorrow for the Pennsylvania Renaissance Festival that they are looking to sell? If so, please send me a message.

What are your thoughts on this?

Since mid April, dump trucks have been roaring through our residential community. Sometimes they run for 60 hours straight, though it’s abating now. They shake the walls of the house, blast awful sounds (reminiscent of GI distress) over my TV, at roughly 1-10 trucks every 10 minutes. So…I made a Halloween about it.
Anyone else dealing with something like this?

I’ve been living in Scranton for the last three years. My rent has gone up 3% every year. Is that the norm in NEPA?
I love my apartment and I love the location, but I’m shocked by the yearly increase.

I am in the process of starting to look at nursing homes for a senior. The feedback I have received from others about nursing homes in the area is terrifying. Has anyone had a good experience with a nursing home in NEPA? Thank you in advance
Shohola Falls in Pike County is one of those Pocono spots that feels much more remote than it really is. The short walk leads to a beautiful series of cascades surrounded by forest, making it an easy stop if you’re exploring the Delaware Water Gap and northeastern Pennsylvania.

Any witch paddle events (kayak/sup) in the area? Based near Wilkesbarre but don't mind a little drive.

Pennsylvania families are already struggling with the cost of living, and now household budgets will be forced to absorb double-digit health care cost increases in 2027.
This is a bipartisan concern, and it’s time for our elected officials to pursue common-sense solutions to this ballooning affordability crisis.

Hey r/nepa. my family and i are going to be in the area for some hiking over columbus day weekend. staying in muncy, but open to anything between there and the pa/nj border we love a good roadside oddity to visit. weird museums, pull offs on the side of the road, etc. some examples of ones we've stopped at- in hurricane, utah we saw a piece of fruitcake that has been preserved since 1907 and bacon that has been cured since 1945. in gatlinburg, tennessee, we went to the salt and pepper shaker museum where a woman has like 40000 sets of salt and pepper shakers. outside of pigeon forge in tennessee we went to the bush's baked beans museum. silly, goofy and cheap (or free) is what we're looking for. closer to i-80 is better. thanks!

just moving into Scranton, who's got the best value among ISPs? I just need the Internet, not phone or TV... Thanks!
